Today I publish a long awaited video about Jaguar X-type airbox modifications, some X-type owners do to their Jags. Stage One: removing the ribbing from the inner side of the airbox lid. Stage Two: making a hole in the front end of the airbox next to the OEM trumpets. Both modifications are aimed at improving the airflow, which can add to the engine performance. The gain is insignificant, up to 5 HP. The sound of intake becomes more noticeable, the hup-hup-hup noises (if any) become more distinct. Nevertheless I tried and did these mods to my X-type. I am fond of experiments, you know.
