Did you do this after the climate control panel

Mike Jacobs says:

I did the same repair. I have a supercharged version and I also replaced the intercooler pump which is right on top of this climate control valve. Tricky , especially if you have big hands . Thanks for the video

Human BEING PEACEANDLOVE says:

I am a certified technician and when I have parts like this that have a probability of corrosion I use a simple trick-IGNITION & BATTERY TERMINAL SEALER-, You can find it at any automotive store. I recommend doing this before taking part out of car to allow dry time.
Step 1: cap off any open ports and connectors.
Step 2: coat the metal parts in a modest layer and let dry minimum 5 minutes stuff dries faster but just to be sure.
Step 3: coat in another modest layer and let sit another 5 minutes or so.
Step 4: check to make sure it did not get into any ports or connectors if so clean them.
There you go simple and easy, just clean the part and reapply sealer every oil change.

Great video, while I'm waiting for the part to arrive, is there a quick fix? like a bypass or something like that? I don't need the heat or ac for now, I need to get to work… Thanks.

J Hoodied says:

MIne was way harder. My heater control valve has 5 ports. It sucked!!

Cristian Romero says:

What’s up man I have a 06 type a 3.0 24 valve with the same problem. Where exactly did you order the part from if you don’t mind me asking

GabrielKish says:

Thank sir, for this extremely instructual how to video.

I'm changing this part out now (10 degrees outline..ugh) and without your video, I couldn't even find its location.
Please keep these classes going. You may be surprised by how many you are helping.

I've got a 2001 s type. the heat is luke warm through the two vents in the center of the dash and Luke warm air out of the vents on the dash closest to the doors. if I put heat to the floor it is cold. the car will also blow cold air if I am driving and come to a stop but then begin blowing warm air from the two center dash vents once I get going again. is this what happened to you?

Clarence Baker says:

I have a 2001 S-Type Jag and i replaced water pump and thermostat and fixed the reservoir the best i could due to a small crack …. runs normal until i sit still to long then slowly starts to pverheat … when i start moving again it slowly goes back down but def wouldnt take my car on a long trip right now which i need to fix…. idk what to do haha … also no heat even with new thermostat

Clarence Baker says:

Did this cause your car to overheat if sitting still but not when moving? Also did it cause heat not to work inside the car?
