Allan Allsopp says:

I can’t believe u guys use genie wtf. That’s like the Toby of garage door
motors. For all if u that don’t know what toby is. its a brand with a name
like Sony. Same font just a shit brand. A regular fucking tail light
special at mesa. My god have mercy on ur soul.

Shawn Young says:

First back your truck in don’t waste time walking around it all Damn day. I
won’t even go into how you didn’t take the door down in the right order.
Use fucking saw horses to hardware the hinges on to each section then stack
this saves a lot of time. Weather seal with a nail gun? No fucking way. The
nails will fall out over time. Plus in cold weather it will fuck the pvc
just man up with maze nails. Two people for a 16×7? What the fuck for? I do
16×12 doors by myself. Didn’t see you lube the spring or really do most of
the real work involved with installing a door so I’m sure you fucked up on
that as well. Better luck next time.

Donnie Crerar says:

Not sure how 2 hours or less is possible. I have just recently started
working for my dad who has been doing this for over 30 years and it takes a
good 5 hours for a clean install without any problems. Not saying you can’t
get it done but that is fast. Most doors we fix are fast installs and
sloppy. We work two guys, one with 20+ years experience and no way 2 hours
is possible. We also use liftmaster and have been pleased. Do fix them but
some have 15-20 year life on them.

You guys suck balls mesa

Susan McBay says:

Thank you for this video! Good info

Elvis Pérez says:

Hi!! Nice video but can i ask you somthing
How much could i spend to put that on my garage? Tanks a lot

gash dash says:

waste of time and useless video, idiots

j buck says:

can’t stand the music

MrPaulie1st says:

why do you add music – horribly distracting…..

Sam Raikoglo says:

Everyone has their own way of installing/removing. On a standard non
insulated door, i take the top door screws out of all of the hinges, then i
take off the right side vertical track and take each section off one by
one. There are some risks involved, but with repetition, for me, it’s the
fastest and easiest way.

SammyM00782 says:

I agree, however in most cases you CAN mount the weather seals first if you
have adjustable track. I won’t work any other way anymore, it’s so much
easier and the door ALWAYS works right, even with dutch corners. These guys
do look pretty hackish though, kinda like the guy below me telling me how
he can install a 16′ with an opener in under an hour, pure butchery. Now, I
have a fully insulated door on my detached because I don’t wanna hear it.
Richards Wilcox r-16 with an 8500, pure silence.

BiltRiteGarageDoors says:

Well done. We install garage doors in Columbia SC. Making a video like this
is a great idea. We have made some informative articles/posts but haven’t
branched out into videos like this. Way to go. You can see what we’ve done
on our site: biltritegaragedoors(dot)com

Turbo Jones says:

this video is part of the problem. This is exacly why Joe nobody thinks he
can safely work on springs and gets his fingers cut off.

Dave PlugMan says:

nice music, whos that.

SammyM00782 says:

And you’re picture suggest you work for overhead door…not exactly
anywhere near the best doors I’ve ever ripped out….just like those
rebranded Genies you sold.

DungeonsDeepRecords says:

Hey! Their door was already fine!

SammyM00782 says:

There’s no way all of that was done in under 2 hours. I’ve been at this 10
years, no way even 2 guys could do all that in under 2 hours. Even skipping
important steps and installing that shit Genie opener should take up to 4
hours unless you’re just “Slapping it in.” It takes me 1 1/2 hrs to R&R an
opener and you’re doing both? I call shenanigans

antijaripeos says:

it seems to me that you hiring ilegal aliens !! so you can save lots of
money, dude !!

superherojohn says:

Thanks, I’m across the country and will never buy a door from you but I
found the very helpful.

MrGdmike says:

no safety gloves or glasses accident waiting to happen mesa BIG NO NO

doorman870 says:

NJPoolboy says:

dude. 7 foot door. not home to a monster truck. I think you also forgot
about the tires.

patriotbri says:

Here’s another unsolicited critique. Crappy way to do your back hangs, if
customer hangs drywall you can never adjust them. To release your spring
tension, lift the door up, pop off the cables and set the door down. Stop
using the the Genie 1024, to many call back issues, the ProMax 500 is a
great unit.

To Lee says:

Thank God for mute buttons!!!

Tim Thompson says:

close up orf work would be good cant see track install and alot else

Orrphan says:

mesa is a very bad company and the piece of crap commercial that gets aired
with that retard talking to the public like we are idiots is a complete
joke. All I hear from people who have used them is how bad this co is and
they rip you off.

internet123ism says:

step 2 can actually kill you and yet the camera guy didn’t give us a closeup

chicagolandhobby says:

why did you put in a genie?????? LiftMaster is sooooooooo much better than
genie.

Mitch Mabee says:

Wouldn’t have been able to do it without the porn music.

Paul Ladendorf says:

This isn’t a how to video. Its a sales pitch. sad.

Bob Warner says:

it takes a full day if you don’t know what you’re doing. that’s why you get
someone to do it for you.

Fragosgaragedoorvids says:

shitty choice a garage door opener. Genie? pft. Liftmaster right hur.

D00dsRUs says:

Wtf this is the most retarded way i have ever seen a garage door installed
and there is no way this was installed under 2 hours in the way you did it
and what is the point of even making the video

SammyM00782 says:

Because like me they don’t wanna hear the door. I installed an R-16
Richards Wilcox door coupled with an 8500 and it’s pure silence. I would
never put a hollow door on my house.

SammyM00782 says:

As far as I know it’s the same as the 3800 just with the MyQ controls.
Doesn’t appear to be any different to me…same sensors, lock and cable
tension monitor but the updated wall control…which I like much better and
is more accurate at keeping time.

Alex Fregosi says:

There’s no way this job can be done in less than 2 hrs. Hell, it takes us 2
hrs just to install a 2 car door. I also am not a fan of Clopay doors-they
come with cheap hardware, the galvanized springs lose tension after a while
and their sections start cracking after a few years. I prefer First United
Door Technologies (FUDT) or CHI.

polaris6147 says:

Thanks for the Video. Great How to for us Do it yourselfers….

Jonny Velasquez says:

this 2 gays they are the best in LA CONGRATULATION MESA

Vid Bid says:

Nice rave music.

antigrav1117 says:

Video should be called- how to REPLACE a garage door- wasted my time….

Matthew Gadigian says:

Excellent information. Thanks

Alex Fregosi says:

Easier to set all the panels on sawhorses and arrange them so that you can
attach all the hardware/hinges/rollers to all the panels while they’re laid
out on the sawhorses. Once I have attached all my hardware, I like to place
the bottom panel in the opening and install the vertical tracks. Then I
install the intermediate panels, the horizontal track, the torsion springs,
wind the springs, and then I install the top panel. Then I can raise the
door halfway and install the back-hangs.

mariosmfj says:

american doors and openers are no good. the palels are so thick. openers
are so noisy. the best doors are crawford from sweden and hormann from
germany. the best opener is marantek from germany. mario-greece

SammyM00782 says:

Neither do I. Idk if you’ve ever installed these but 16′ CHI doors with a
glass section are fucking awesome to do by yourself. Heaviest residential
steel doors I’ve ever done

Laura Hughes says:

@chicagolandhobby You are very right, Liftmaster motors are so much better
than Genie motors.
