Have you had an ‘Air Suspension Fault’ message on the dashboard? In this video we look at the most common cause and how to fix it inexpensively yourself.
‘BLU’ is my 2008 XJL X358 Jaguar. Amongst her many faults, BLU has occasionally thrown up an Air Suspension fault message. I used a compressor service kit from BagpipingAndy.
great video john i could here the relief in your voice when that bolt moved i bet your chuffed with that fix stay safe .
Very interesting, you did well on this one john.
Watched this one out of curiosity, have heard tales of the air suspension etc. Nice to know there is a common issue that's straightforward to repair apart from crap quality screws that is. And LH drills is a new one for me, never realised you could get them, so cheers for the tutorial and the tip.
Another great "BLU" movie John.
Hello John. Perhaps you and your subscribers can help. Since owning my 2.7 S Type I have noticed a vibration / resonance through the accelerator pedal between 1250 and 1500 rpm. At all other revs the engine is quiet and smooth as silk. It is more of an irritation than concern as in all other respects the car is a great drive. Thanks.
I was one of the first few dozen customers of BagpipingAndy. Before the nice brochure and tap. His kit worked great. Unfortunately I had exactly the same problem as you with that darn bolt! It took me 4 or 5 hours to extract it, at 20 degree F, no drill, no vise, no torch, up till 2am. Your video would have helped, if only to be prepared.
The only repair that was as frustrating was replacing the front wheel bearing assembly. Aluminum to steel corrosion welded the parts together and that took many hours with a sledge hammer. My poor neighbors. At least the weather was pleasant.
Great timing John, 130.00 on mine and it needs sorting…great content wonderful laid back Jaaaaag relaxed presentation.
Happy new year.
Auto work is fascinating. I could watch it for hours.
Well done! That bolt was a right b……!!
