my problem is not when you shake from the side or even when the tyre doesnt touch the ground, its only when the tire on the ground, hand brake on, and you hit fronward like you wanna make car move fronward, then you have to push very fast and strong and sudden, to feel the clunk and feel like the tire moved 3mlm frontwardthen comes back, like it isnt tightened or a rubber is broken, but even this arm seems to be fine! no one can figure out even many workshops! car type peugeot 206 2002 1.6

Stevan Jawad says:

car passes inspection, but when I release my foot from the clutch, hear a strange click from the car and engine shakes, sound is similer to the sound of a bad “anti roll sway” which was replaced, still the same.
thought, engine mounts, and all replaced, then trans axel then gear bearings, when gear shift is neutural and driver tire on ground and I push it to the front I hear the click and its like 3mlm tire moves frontward and makes the clunk, what is that? and can a strut bearing causes that?

First of all THANK YOU for these explanations!! You broke it down perfect. Now, there is a rubbery squeaking sound coming from my steering column only when I turn the wheel-when its cold or dry out…Im guessing lube something up, right? Also vibrating in my steering wheel. its consistent shaking while driving and not only while braking or only at certain speeds. Ive had garages look at it and ive got new tires, wheels, balance & rotating and alignments but its still shaking. PLEASE HELP

This message is for all Jaguar XJS owners close to Lansing, Michigan. I took my 1989 Jaguar XJS in to see Sam for some metalic rythmic noises. Sam did not charge me for the more than 30 minutes of vehicle inspection. I also found out that Sam had owned an 1985 XJS for more than 8 years. Finding a mechanic who had actually owned an XJS is a rare find for us jaguar owners.

William Bush says:

Sam, I have a 1989 Jaguar XJS V-12 convertible that has a scrape, scrape, scrape noise coming from the rear end left side. When I have two people in the car it goes away completely. What do you think it is? I live in Mason and would like for you to take a look at it. Thank you.

Nice video, I wish you were able to commit more time to producing videos about this car, although i understand where time would be very valuable for a business owner. I work in Lansing, happened across this video, and happen to own an S-type Jaguar. I would like to let you know that I would consider coming to see you for future issues with my car. I base that decision on your video, and the apparent purpose of it….to help educate owners in order to save them money. I think that’s pretty cool.

Kevin Funk says:

ThePariss333 says:

I like your video and I have Q: You said if the tie rod move is bad, Do we need to replace the tie rod or just the boot? If the sway bar link is bad, what we nee to replace, the whole thing or only what you hold and move? cause I think the bar link is fron tire to tire or am I wrong?
And last: beautiful will be see the job done by you, so we can learn how to replace and what to do, that will be very nice from you. Thank for any reply.

Mike Phelan says:
