Thomas H says:

What was the brand size and thickness of those new rotors?

JTBettencourt says:

Use jack stands.
Add copper grease to the caliper faces of the pads.
Check fluid level before and after.

Viranjith Tilakaratne says:

Don't you have to clean the hub area? There was a lot of corrosion.

Fred Zabodyn says:

You should never push old fluid from the calipers back you can damage the ABS system ….. crack your bleeder allow tge fluid to escape that way …. then flush the system starting from the farthest brake RR then LR RF LF ….. then you'll have new and clean fluid in your brake system

gregcy89 says:

Short and simple. Im doing all 4 tomorrow on my XF. Hope it works coz the EPB is a pain in the @$$…

pher35 says:

I wouldn't have taken the brake line from the caliper, now you have to bleed the line. Hang the caliper out of the way with a rope or wire until it's ready to go back on. Making extra work and supplies.

typhoon320i says:

You didn't mention what the torque spec is for the mounting bracket to knuckle (76 ft. lbs.) and caliper to mounting bracket (21 ft. lbs.). Also, you didn't say why you were disconnecting the hose from the caliper. Did you just want to bleed out some old fluid?

Jeroen Dorrestein says:

Very nice. I have a 2002 XJR. I changed the front rotors a few years ago. I have just noticed that the rear ones have worn to the minimum thickness. It looks a very straight forward job. Although, as far as I can see from looking into the workshop manual I see two difference with what you are showing. I don’t think my rear brakes have to be screwed back in. (If they do, that is fine, as I have the identical tool as you are showing). But I will definitely have to slacken up the hand brake. Inside the rotor is a clip, behind that clip is the hand brake adjuster. You need to slacken it, or the rotor is likely to remain stuck on the brake shoes

Galaxia Vall says:

Ronnie G says:

Any chance you have had a trunk sensor issue? I have a 2009Jaguar XF Supercharged. Sensor saying trunk is open when it is not. Prevents fab from opening trunk as well as the alarm will not arm. Mechanic saying replace harness $200 just for the part? Thank you.

Levi Taylor says:

So helpful! We need more videos like this on YouTube–straight to the point and no fluff.

Marcos Lovato says:

Is the jaguar s type R the same process?

Carla Pierini says:

That’s nice! Thanks for sharing!

FishOscarmorales says:

Gagan n says:

GARY WILLIER says:

the most important impho you dont have ??how did you bleed the system ??

Paul Stewart says:

Thanks….I changed the pads and sensors and it erased the message. Also…..do you have a video on how to change the heater hose/over flow return hose assembly on a 2011 xf?

Paul Stewart says:

Does the service engine light process also reset the low brake pad warning light ?
