Hey, I was thinking about upgrading OEM air filters with K & N filters on my 2014 XFR, though I've heard a lot of horror stories about how the different filters will subsequently have different air flow capacity and thus cause issues to a vehicles mass air flow sensor (MAFS), making it run "too lean" or "too rich". Called up a Jaguar dealership and they straight up said it would void the warranty. I'd like your take on it, have you had any issues thus far?

Fields Carlisle says:

This is insane. On every other vehicle with this engine (V6 or V8 because they're the same engine, V6 is just missing one cylinder on each bank but size is same), you can access the left and right filters from the engine compartment. I can't imagine anyone signed off on this design.

Ethan Carter says:

I wonder if you did those for that HP you get from K&N lol

Paul Almond says:

Thanks for your video, which further confirms my understanding at how difficult and time consuming to change air filters on V8 F type.
Why Jaguar did this I can only wonder.
Interesting comparison: your video is 2 minutes 25 seconds duration, I believe it would take 4 hours minimum to accomplish tge work, my previous Jaguar XJS V12 could remove and replace both air filters in under 2 minutes 25 seconds, including opening and closing bonnet (hood)!
