Battery replacement: 30 to 90 minutes ($150 / $250 / $300)
In this video I helped my brother replace the battery in his Jaguar XJ8. It is located in the trunk of the car. This will apply to many vehicles.

Very good point on getting batteries, alt. tested before you buy…
Since the battery is in the trunk isn't it important that the ventilation tube be able to be connected?
Great video! I didn't drive my Jag XJ8 for 2 months and the battery went stone dead. Does that happen all the time with Jaguars? It is very annoying. I also can't shift the automatic transmission into neutral without power, so I couldn't push the car out of the garage!
this is bull not wat i askd 4
Where is batery of jaguar xjsport 1998 ? 🙂
That's a nice XJ8. Not the most trouble-free cars (depending on which model you get), but certainly more unique than the average BMW and Mercedes.
Good tip about testing the items bought in the auto parts stores. I once went to buy some brake pads and decided to open the box before leaving the store; glad I did. The box only had 3 pads inside. Thanks for posting.
I allways thought that mounting a battery that far away from the starter was a daft idea, the losses in the cable are a concern.
A frend has one of these cars, they have a lot of junk slowly flatterning the battery, not a clever design 🙁
