You can use a wire to cut the glue off of it either, anyway this is a lame
way to get an windshield, you will break a lot of them for sure.
Props for teaching people how to save money though.

tony shots says:

Great video! Hey this wasnt your first windshield lol. You did one on a
mazda remember? Lol

DJDevon3 says:

AWESOME JOB! Mazda doesn’t use those pullers they recommend piano wire and
2 people to slice through the adhesive. The wire will bend and follow the
contour of the window and is less prone to crack. How thick of a bead did
you put down? Didn’t get to see the bead. :(

Erik Rodriguez says:

You the man

glen llanos says:

of course your first time, that is not the right tool to remove and that
winshield, you must use the cable one and the two handles tool to save a
windshield !!, that blade puller is more for to remove a cracked
windshields and temper glass

fordflatbed windsor says:

hey bud just an idea of sharing a tip hood release cables cut thru like
butter make a hole all way thru glue cut the hood cable at hood end pull it
out to you slide it thru hole you made tie cut end around a boxed end
wrench saw that baby out nothin to it and id rather use it than piano wire
or regular windshield wire i have cut out alot in my 16 17 yrs of junking
and wrenching

when I did it. Good vids!!!

sixtyfiveford says:

Great video. I learned the exact way you just did. I bought a tool and went
to the auto wreckers. 5 windshields later I had one. The blade/sawzall is
definitely the way to go.

stuzman52 says:

Nice video Oldskool with lots of detail, especially to the removal and
installation of the windshield. Looks like the utility knife and homemade
sawzall blade is the way to go. You could have never shown the first part
of this video and no one would have ever know about the cracked windshield.
Shows integrity, honestly and a message to others out there to not be
afraid of making mistakes. If you do, keep at it as you say. Keep up the
good work Oldskool.

lineartechbd1600 says:

Oldskool, I notice that the windshield you took out said ‘honda’ on it. I
recommend that if anybody is going to go through all the effort to remove a
windshield, always choose the honda oem if you can. Honda oem glass is just
better and more durable than after market stuff. Plus, honda stuff fits
perfect every time. There is a place in the Bronx NY called ‘randall ave
glass’ and they used to replace the windshield in my 87 accord for $85
including labor and the glass. Plus, they do it while you wait and they are
very fast. They did the side glass on my friend’s 95 accord for $30. The
prices are so low because in the Hunts Point area of the bronx, there are
dozens of glass places so the prices get driven down. My buddy said this
glass place wanted $240 so I took him to Randalls glass and got it for $30.

By the way, If the wire you used broke, try to use a bicycle derailleur
cable. A bicycle brake cable is a little bit thicker but the derailleur
cable is super strong and thin and it is stranded steel cable. You might
also want to spray some silicone on the cable so it cuts smoother. You can
get the cable for a couple of bucks at walmart or any bicycle shop.

EwE Whisperer says:

Still good vids yet there is a side you may need experience in. I’m
currently going to school for claims adjusting, body damage assessment, and
general body repair. And all the dude really hits home about is disclaimers
as the windshield is a part of the safety equipment any wrong or bad
installment can come back and haunt you. Same as selling more cars a year
than aloud without a dealers license. Anyway i do the exact same stuff you
do flip cars and i can tell you things are changing. From replacing fenders
without replacing corrosion protection inside and out to straightening
hardened metal frame pieces don’t do it if you’re not prepared to be sued
later. You have to repair things to SPEC and it’s not that complicated to
do just more costly.

Luke Martin says:

Nice vid bro.

Engineer says:

isnt the first tool what they use to remove and not care if it cracks cause
i remember when i went with my dad to replace his windshield they where
using that tool and never saw them try to remove the windshield without
cracking they just went all around and cracked it if they had to

vaz Fx says:

Well done bruh!

Phuc You says:

its a trip how God always keeps me motivated through everyone, when im
lost. . keep up the good work brother, GOD BLESS!

Tas Journey says:

Yo bro where are the new videos! Lol

B Ann says:

Silicone NO !
Urethane YES !
Automotive Glass & Urethane correctly installed is actually part of the
structural integrity of a vehicle .
Installed properly it could save someones life .
Installed improperly it could cost someone their life .
Urethane is about 2x the price of silicone but well worth it .
Its also a booger to clean up .
The only thing I have found to remove it from your fingers is & I’m not
recommending anyone try this is Barryman B12 Chemtool spray which is not
good for your skin or any body part .
So wear gloves to save from clean up .
BYW, wheres that salvage yard at ?

tony shots says:

Great video! Hey this wasnt your first windshield lol. You did one on a

The puller is good for the bad windshield.

Nice!! Hard work but it paid off!!

Nice job. I appreciate that you didn’t edit out the first attempt where you
cracked the windshield. That shows Christ-like humility. You also
demonstrated the power of pressing on. Maranatha.
