MACHINERY4CHANGE says:

If the gauge problem keeps repeating I would be replacing the oil light sensor. It may be that they share a common earth, and by leaving it disconnected you may not have a good earth to the new gauge. Also make sure the electrical connections are clean and tight fitting.

And on top of that i had a bad oil pan leak and I almost had no oil pressure but had a look and the oil was full with the leak the gauge i never take too much notice its just a thing that says my oil is getting low thats all it is really hell most of the time i will sit at lights and my oil pressure gauge drops why because it takes less oil if its at ideal thats why but just straight up when the foots to the foor

Dillan Taylor says:

Um most cars dong even show a oil pressure gauge you have to fit it i never go by it because of that check your oil if its full then your fine
The way you can tell you have low oil pressure is noises thats it by that stage you have potentially damaged your engine but again check oil weekly and you wont have a problem
