Gday Guys and Gals!
In this video i show you how to install a tow bar on your Isuzu MU-X. I also show you how to wire up the trailer plug using a plug and play wiring harness for the Mu-X.
Firstly i show you how to align and cut out the bumper and fit the trim to cover the cutout.
Then we move on to mounting the tow bar to the vehicle and using loctite on all the mounting bolts.
Then we move on to plugging in the wiring and putting the wiring into the trailer plug.

What size is your spare? Just wondering if I'll have clearance issues with 265/75/16 Toyo Open Country's (806mm Diameter)
Did the wiring work on the box trailer?
I have just installed a Hayman Reece on my 2019 MU-X and found it much easer and faster by removing back bumper.
Hey Mate thanks for the video. Did you by any change weigh this? Isuzu says the tow bar weighs 34kg, but it doesn't look that heavy when you lift it?
I have a 4×4 Isuzu D Max 2012 and wanted to install a Rear Bumper. Will the Tow Bar be on the way when I Install the Rear Bumper? thanks
Hi mate can you do the oil change on mux auto cheers
Thank you muchly! My plug kit came without any wiring diagram! When I searched YouTube, I saw this vid and it was exactly what I needed. I skipped to the wiring section of the video and u told me exactly which wire goes where. Thank you!

Awesome job mate, just wondering that bottom bolt under tow hitch i thought tighten it to stop rattle when towing.
Good work mate. I reckon you should do a video next time you service your car. Would be great to see instructions for checking oils, changing filters, what to look out for, what products you use etc.
Hey mate, have you looked into a diff Drop in the front with the lift?
YYESS! thats it, what ive been waiting for, NICE VID, now let me see if I can stomach the bumper cutting in mine…
Turn that clip around!!!
Hey Nick.
Do you have any idea where to buy a black MUX bumber or how to remove chrome coating on some MUX body parts?
Next time measure between the curved edge on the clips when there on the 2 screws and then measure the hight you need to fit in the allocated lip. If you know what I mean
This will work with most template making
The Rig is starting to look the part i really like your rear draws
Nice job. I wonder if there is some goop you can put into the plug to waterproof the wiring and the connectors? Not sure if grease is a good idea, maybe Vaseline?
