Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by to watch our 2014-2017 Infiniti Q50 side view mirror replacement. Despite our lovely assistant saying this is for the “QX” it is not. She may drive a QX60 (that is an SUV), but this is the Infiniti Q50 sedan, just a clarification. We love doing side view mirror replacements because virtually every mirror has the same replacement process. There is no need to be afraid of doing your own repairs. Who doesn’t like saving money and time, right? If your mirror is cracked, broken or has been defeated by your garage, we can help. At ReveMoto, we specialize in pre-painted auto body parts. We ship for FREE to your home and all you have to do is install the mirror. Let us show you how it gets done!

TOOLS NEEDED:
plastic panel clip remover (or you can use a flat head screwdriver), 10mm wrench or socket wrench and a Philips screwdriver

REPLACEMENT PROCESS:
The process is very simple and can be achieved with only a few tools that can be purchased for under $10.00. This door panel is held on by a few screws/bolts near the arm rest and interior door handle. When you remove this, make sure to push up on the door panel to remove it. The door panel is hooked over the top of the door by the windshield. So, push the door panel up towards the to of the door to remove it. There is also the window trim up top. You do not have to completely remove it but you can just pop off the part cover the mirror and unscrew the bolts with a short 10mm socket or wrench.

In the video, we kept the electrical wire plugged in, but you can either remove the plug or the nuts last. Just make sure you are holding the mirror before you do so not because you don’t want to damage the mirror, but because you don’t want the mirror to fall and hit your door causing dents or scratches. Once you install the mirror back on, be sure to check the function of the mirror before you place the door panel back on. It’s pretty rare that the features may not work but the chances are never 0%.

After you are 100% sure everything is working in tip-top shape, you can being to secure everything back on to the door. Tighten all the screws and make sure all the plastic pieces and door panel snap back on. It’s all as easy as pie and you are now one stop closer to opening your own body shop. Okay, maybe not but you just installed your own mirror, yay!!!
