Thank You so much for this video. Shop gave a quote of $250 to replace both hinges. Figured it would be worth it to avoid the hassle. I took it in for the repair and they called later and said it would actually be over $500 as bumper, headlights, and fenders had to be removed. I saw this video and felt confident to try it. Told them to get stuffed, took my car back and easily replaced the hinges following this video. I am not a car guy at all but this wasn’t that hard. Saved me a bunch of money.

Hinges on my 04 G35X have become so stiff they deformed and the hood contacts the fenders. I have new hinges and will have an easier time with the installation thanks to you.:-)
