How to Change Rear Brake Pads – Quick and Easy – Infiniti QX60 – Nissan Pathfinder

This video tutorial will show you how to do a basic brake pad replacement on a 2015 Infiniti QX60. The same concepts can be done on most other cars (Honda is a little trickier).

Some advice:
You can follow the same procedure for the front brake pads, but you’ll need different pads.
If you try this on a Honda, it’s mostly the same except that you cannot push back the piston. You need a special tool to “screw” it back.
Clean off any debris from the caliper while you have it removed.
In some cases if you cannot compress the guide pin, you can remove it entirely. You might need a breaker bar to get some leverage while the caliper is mounted. I’ve done this before using a short piece of PVC pipe.
