Hey George you would think with a car this nice they would not cheap out and put a piece of shit to operate the windows ., were having the same issue with our 2004 G-35 . Its not just Infinity though they all do it .My BMW 325 is on its third regulator right now ., My winter beater Jep still has all the originals parts .Maybe its just these god damned imports , but it pisses me off after spending 50 grand for a car .Good video I might tackle the job ? this time .

I see. Thanks for the tip.

George Morales says:

On the 2nd video you can see that i put my hand under the panel to align the motor to the panel, once you get one screw on the rest will align easily.

tshk5271221 says:

One thing I could not understand..how do you affix the window motor to the aluminum panel?

George Morales says:

Sorry i dont know.

cwizzy13 says:

Would you happen the know what size the nut and bolt is that connects to the regulator assembly? They are missing on my door :(. I can’t seem to find the size anywhere and I don’t have a garage to leave me car and take the screw to a shop.

George Morales says:

Thats awesome dude, no problem. Thanks for watching.

Sorry for the late reply, I find this to be the easiest way: Leave the door open, Remove the window switch from the door panel, move the door panel completely out the way, CONNECT WINDOW SWITCH BACK TO THE DOOR, have someone press down on the DOOR SWITCH to make the car computer believe that the door is close and then proceed to re-set the window motor like on my video, you cant see on the video but my wife is holding the door switch down while i re-set the window motor. Hope i helped you out.

Thank you for these videos. I replaced my drivers side motor today on my 2003 coupe and all went well. I used the A1Carbone motor I got from O’Reilly’s.

rastegara says:

Got it. Thanks man.

George Morales says:

Thanks. Sorry for the late reply bro. The answer to your question is Yes.In your case you reset the Window motor with the passenger switch.

rastegara says:

Great video man. For the passenger side door, do you retime the window with the passenger side switch?

George Morales says:

Thanks.

jsemelgar says:

Thank you. My 08 is having the same problem and I was not sure how difficult the job is. Now i know I can do it. Good video.

George Morales says:

I also purchased my window motors from O’reilly. They always have window motors in stock which is good if your impatient like myself and hate waiting for special orders to arrive.

George Morales says:

My passenger side has last me over a year till this day. My driver side under a year. Regardless of how long it last its Lifetime warranty and you cant go wrong with that. I believe and I’m pretty sure the motors from O’reilly are refurbish and not brand new.

scbman says:

How long did the motor from O’reilly’s last? I cleaned my OEM motor and it worked for about 2 months then finally died, and O’reilly is the only store in my area with them in stock.
