LOL,I know what you mean, dealers are bunch of thiefs.

George Morales says:

Tip: Turn your car on, hold your window switch on the up position like if you were gonna close your window, now with a hammer fist bang the side of the door panel around the area where the window motor is located, start banging away and this should get your window motor going just enough to put your window up. I been there and done that so trust me, if you do it right it will work.

George Morales says:

Which ever one you decide to go with i HIGHLY suggest you get one with lifetime warranty.

GUNLOVERZTV says:

i saw a nissan factory motor online at the nismo shop for 172 free shipping..i saw a a1 cardone like the one you have for about 140 bucks at advance auto parts with a 30 dollar core refund…i figure i might as well go with the factory since the prices are so close.i dont get why they are charging 150 bucks for a refurbished part smh.

GUNLOVERZTV says:

i already took the door apart myself a month ago.it seems not hard at all to install..only thing is my window is stuck down and has been for 3 months.

GUNLOVERZTV says:

yeah i meant the nissan factory motor..it seems they charge a grip yet the product seems to be just as bad as the aftermarket ones.the dealer wanted me to pay 630 dollars to fix the passenger side…i said well what if i bring you a nissan motor then what?he said we are not under nissan warranty…i said dont play games with me..you think i dont know the motor in my car is nissan? he had nothing to say lol

George Morales says:

If you can find a factory motor with lifetime warranty i say go for it. But remember you want some kind of warranty because eventually it will fail on you again. Good luck, hope i answer your question.

George Morales says:

I had to replace the drivers side at least 3 times and passenger side at least twice within the past 3 yrs. Do you mean factory motor by getting one from the dealer? If so yeah thats great but keep in mind that they dont give you any kind of warranty, eventually it will break down on you again and then youre screwed on having to pay for another one. I have lifetime warranty on both my motors so i dont have to worry about paying for anything again.

GUNLOVERZTV says:

question….people keep saying to only get the factory motors because the dorman and A1 carodne ones are crap..i see you have a cardone…how is it and has it failed you yet?

George Morales says:

I also had problems where i got 2 window motors in a row that were garbage, I did not have the overheat problem but i did have problems with 2 in a row, Keep in mind that the window motors that you buy at the local auto shop are refurbish NOT brand new so you might get garbage sometimes thats why they give you lifetime warranty, I suggest you trade it in for another and try again, thats what i would do, yeah it sucks but it happens. Let me know what happens.

I have a question. So I followed your video and did everything correctly (even the reset) and it works fine for about two days. I picked up a replacement motor at a local auto part store and it works fine for two days. After that, I could smell the window motor overheat and die. This happened twice already with two new motors. Any ideas?

Thats awesome! Thanks for watching bro.

Thanks, bro. Your video saved me labor cost!

George Morales says:

You have to do it before you take the window motor off because thats whats holding your window up, taking the metal panel off just reveals whats behind it, BUT!!!! bracing the window up is the first thing i do before removing anything, you dont have to until youre about to remove the window motor but thats what i do. Make sure you use a lot of tape or find a better way of holding it up cause the last thing you want is for your window to come down on you while youre working.

ObsiHelp says:

I had a quick question I’ve heard that you have to tape the window up before you take the metal panel off and i was wondering if you had done that?

r3bel4christ1 says:

so was mine, just need elbow grease lol

George Morales says:

Hehehehehe…….. Yeah i had the same problem the first time removing the motor so i used some vise grips to remove them.
