Adam racecar says:

what a bunch of dicks they dont tell you about why they had that heat gun
in their hands for a couple seconds before camera CUTS! fuckers… its to
kill the “memory” part of the wrap so it doesn’t curl back up to its
original state after being stretched! 180F degrees kills the memory part
and lets the adhesive win so it wont revert back later on,.

Jaayy626 says:

One question, was the sun roof open once you guys started installing or
does it not matter if its open or not while installing?

EZrussian says:

Was it matte or gloss vinyl?

angelisone says:

Some major drawbacks:
1. If you don’t pull & stretch them evenly the job looks like a beginner
jobs on
the pattern of fake carbon fiber. Lines are bent or wrapped.
2. Chips & holes will bubbles /or have mini swimming pools
3. Orange peels.
4. Good fake carbon fiber sheet runs $6.00/ft.
5. One little dirt & you will scream when applying on body.

Best to save the money & go to Maaco.
Have them painted for less.
Or put out more money for a better auto paint places.

Is it possible to wrap a roof without taking out the sunroof? I’m not a
professional installer and it’s a DIY project for me.

Is it normal to see lines from repeated lifting and setting the wrap on the
car at an angle? I’m not referring to line creases but lines under the wrap
from were the adhesion spot under the wrap has been lifted and re-seated.

The_Magrant says:

What if the car is losing its clear coat, will it still hold well?

HUNTERMAP72 says:

curious? what does something like that cost to cover a acura el ( Honda
civic ) roof, trunk, and hood? Cheaper then having to paint? and how does
it stand out to rain, snow, or hot sunny weather? Can you wax and polish it
with the rest of the vehicle?

shawnaseltine says:

What is the heat rateing on the wrap

yanOe says:

Your toy rc car? IF you have that car don’t bother doing vinyl. IF you have
money to get it, buy the real thing.

CJinRealLife says:

I use a Car Topper delivery sign to deliver pizza’s and put on and remove
the sign nightly, would the wrapping get messed up if I do that, trying to
decide, since I’m almost done painting my car.

Ryan McHenry says:

Nice job on the car and the video boys. Is there material like this that

XtrAMassivE says:

I wonder how does vinyl stand against UV rays? Does it fade in few years?

david stanic says:

Just askin fukwad. Don’t call me names like a little bitch assed kid you
fukwit. I made a comment on the fact that it’s easy to install. Don’t get
cut cos I’m telling people to do it themselves BECAUSE THEY CAN!!! Get a
fucking real job you dooche!

MATT BURGESS says:

What do you use for a razor knife? So you don’t scratch the paint and cause
rust. Is there a special knife that has a protected edge?

metrorestyling says:

It is a carbon fiber vinyl like a sticker. Thanks

Emiel Emilio says:

i’ve head about 10yrs 3M is one one the best quality. however the ones that
do the wrapping should offer about a year warranty just to be sure nothing
is missed and gets affected by summer/winter conditions.

david stanic says:

listen here right, I know how much it costs to purchase a full role of the
1080 3m Carbon fibre silver/chrome Black white you name it. It’s $1,000au
roughly. How many car roof tops can you do with that role? It’s a rip off
your making 10 times that of what you spend so don’t tell me I’m a tit when
everyone here can see how much money one can make because of peoples
laziness and lack of knowledge about the product. Your killin it, don’t bs
a bullshitartist m8.

jozynator9 says:

how much will it be for the roof of a bmw 335i?

Brian DesGrosseilliers says:

Hey guys, great video, do you guys know of any places in the
Massachusetts/New Hampshire area that do this? Looking to get my Charger
done.

geo dam says:

Lol your are two men’s for cover! is not prfessionnal. One man only

david stanic says:

So many tutorials available on you tube and from my work on how to do it
yourself it’s not funny.3M Carbon Wrap is the easiest carbon fibre to lay,
a child could do it for fucks sake. Now laying 3M vinyle on interior car
parts is a bitch, that takes skill, Not carbon fibre vinyle btw. I’ve still
not mastered the 3M vinyl but have so much to play with I will eventually
get it. This is only worth paying for if you need a business vehicle to
wrap other than that it’s a waist sorry you flop.

nOis3 says:

really good job guys

david stanic says:

lols first you call me a tit. Who the fuck calls someone a “TiT”? are a
fag? “Settle Petal???” wtf ? STupid pommy cunt. Fucking retard is born in
England and can’t even speak the fucking language. Go back to sleep ya
gooche

Oliver Williams IV says:

About how much would it cost to do it on my own vs. paying someone to do it
for me?

metrorestyling says:

@mattburgess2 Hello we use a Olfa svr2 blade. It does not have a edge but
we are careful when cutting. Thanks

metrorestyling says:

Yes but a gloss painted roof will hold better. Thanks

SpartanA31xx says:
