This is probably the most concise, real, practical instruction that I have come across. For some reason, finding repair information like this for a 2008 Sonata with the v-6 is not easy. Thank you for sharing your experience. It made MY experience a lot less frustrating and a lot more enjoyable.

I used your instructions on my 2006 Hyundai Azera. 3.8 liter. Thank you Josh your instructions were great. A couple notes. I suggest 2 people to put belt on And also before putting new alternator in. Put the bottom bolt in and thread all the way in but don’t tighten it. It will make it easier to line up the alternator and easier to get the bolt in.

excellent video my man. I've watched a lot of them on here for different jobs; and i'm really impressed with the way you did this one. good detail, clear speaking, and the belt diagram helped too! thanks a lot. now I know about how long it's gonna take me to change it out. I kinda figured I was gonna have to take the fan out, much as I didn't want to, lol

Thanks for sharing this video. I have a 2013 GLS sonata and there is an issue, it would great if you can advise. The acceleration pedal stops to respond when headlights are turning on when I am driving. I need to release an acceleration pedal and push again to make acceleration pedal to respond.
Any thoughts what it can be?

Jackson Cruz says:

Good job. Did you let your customer know that it will happen again due to the valve cover gasket leak?

Achilles Mtz B. says:

Took me three days but got it done finally…great, simple, easy step by step. Thanks!!

Matt M says:

Thank you so much, me and my dad changed my alternator today and I barely had enough money to buy the alternator itself. My check engine light and battery light turned off. Got everything tested and my car is running fine again. Seriously appreciate it, my dad said "if we leave a comment will he make more money or anything?" So I'm leaving one. Hope you know how much you helped.
