Scotty, you should read the Hyundai and Kia message boards. Then do a vid on that. Very interesting. I have a 2019 Tucson with 73k miles. I'm just waiting for the engine to go. Hope it doesn't before I trade it in for a new cx-50.
I thought that Scotty was going to check for past accidents, overspray, gaps in body panels, paint thickness…ect.
Did I miss why Scotty thinks the customer was ripped off?
A perfect 'trifecta of trouble' would be a Korean car made in Mexico & bought on Carvana. And overpriced too.
You're crackin me up Scotty !!!
I guess what I’ve learned is when you buy cars from foreign car companies, be sure to buy ones built in their home country….
Honda and Toyota = Japan
Kia and Hyundai = South Korea
But Scotty says that cars sold by Korean companies have engines that are prone to ‘blowing up’.
We need some clarification Scotty.
Misfire from detail department washing the engine down with a power sprayer is common on used cars.
That Hyundai does not have "full carbon fiber" dash.
That's textured plastic.
Filthy GDI engine that barely gets better gas mileage than the 1.8 conventional engine in my 23 year old Suzuki.
And my car was <$1000 compared to this Hyundai that probably cost over 10 grand.
Hey Scott did you see the wheels are falling off Toyota electric cars and they are recalling them how come their recalls are never mentioned can you imagine they can't even keep wheels on after all these years !
Got a 2017 Elantra back in early 2021 w/ only 27k miles on it for 12.5k., no problems.. i know prices have gone up a lot, but jeez that's a high payment they got for that car.
Scotty, I have an intermittent P0497 code on my 2005 Honda Accord. 208,000 Miles. The car is also difficult to start when the temperature outside it hot. It will crank for a while before it turns over. Any suggestions? I have already tried changing the gas cap and fuel pump relay.
My 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback gets 61.4 MPG on the highway in 6th with cruise control @ 64 mph
So when did you get mad? And when did you talk about how they got ripped off?
I started flailing my arms more after watching my 6th Scotty video
i get ripped off all the time i tell the mechanic its this they pretend to fix it
how did they get ripped off? car is working..
I have that exact year and model. Its small but great fuel mileage. My AC isn't working this summer but I m scared to take it in and see what wallet damage I m looking at. Only bad thing about it is no cruise control.
That is the hardest a Hyundai Accent has ever been driven.
Aye scotty! I got a tiburon. From Korea!!!! Im so lucky bro
My Kia 1.6 started using oil at about 70k miles. If it's not using it yet, it will soon.
Where was the ripoff?
God, he drove the hell out of that car. If nothing was broken, it's broken now!!! LOLOLOLOL
What made u mad as Hell??? There was nothing wrong with car except needed a computer reset after new battery being put in. I think she was lucky.
I believe the Accents got 40mpg highway, 35mpg city. The Elantras got 36mpg highway, 32mpg city. Fantastic gas mileage.
i had the turbo-diesel dct hatch version (korean-made) for 5 years; no issues with that pocket rocket up to the point when I sold it.
