These push button start cars have smart key fobs that try to communicate with the car, even when the car is parked. This can drain the battery faster. It is a good idea that once inside the house, to keep the key fob as farther away as possible from the car/garage, to prevent the key to communicate with the car. May as well keep the key fob inside a metal jar or wrapped in aluminum foil inside the house, as the metal cuts the communication between the fob and the car. https://www.foxnews.com/tech/why-you-should-wrap-your-keys-in-aluminum-foil
See this other video. Wrapping the key fob like this will help the battery last longer https://youtu.be/qzd1TkTGZMg
Thanks a lot !
Thanks for the video. It save me time and money!!!
Thanks. Just enough info to do it correctly. 😉
Thank you for making this video. So easy! I can’t believe car dealerships charge people for something that takes less than two minutes to do.
Thanks very much! Very, very helpful! Very good photography and lighting, too!
This video helped me appreciate just how much better the design is in Volkswagen cars – from the key to the engine, better all round.
You can pop it apart with the key you pulled out.
