yep!, I wish my cabinet mounted one had a external handle for decomp. It
would have saved the starter. I may end up modding it that way just to save
the new one

high1voltage1rules says:

that is a sweet gen!!! Love the diesel engines!!! Yeah me too want the
display lol Thumbs up*

tjousk says:

I’ve had a few glass fuses go like that, look fine, but aren’t. Generally I
replace them with a blade fuse as in most cars. They seem to handle
vibration better.

alex993cc1 says:

great idea !!!

alex993cc1 says:

you can try single transistor drivers. but they dont run on much more than
12 volts and they blow up a lot 🙂 royer oscillator is good for begginers
too. everyone says go straight to ZVS but i think its more fun starting out
with smaller jobs and working your way up. you learn a lot! I’ve learnt a
truckload about transistors and mosfets and soon IGBT this way

RODALCO2007 says:

Nice generator, defenitely worth fixing

alex993cc1 says:

will be a better find when i fix this fuse blowing problem 🙂 i think its
just a new battery!

FrontSideBus says:

That’s a fookin nice genny!

Aussie50 says:

yep, that engine looks identical to my Nigata genset. its a clone of a
Yanmar (can’t remember what model)

Tradie Trev says:

Can’t go past a decent crimper! Cheap poxy shit always ends in tears

wilkes982 says:

hey alex what do you this is the best flyback driver to start out with?
I’ve been looking at a few different types mainly the zvs but i want
something more tame for my first one cheers

Aussie50 says:

I found a source online but their pricey :(. one day I will bite the bullet
and get one.

2davydo says:

Cheap chinese clone yanmar ingine?

HDXFH says:

A company called Fuzhou Sinopower Clones Yanmar engines aswell, their
website has a wide range of parts available too!

alex993cc1 says:

i think the fuse is also used to prevent overload charge on the battery
battery is OK, but marginal. i think its drawing to many amps to charge
thanks for your comment! fondle hehe

Aussie50 says:

cool gennie!, looks the same as mine except open frame. the engine is
definitely the same.

alex993cc1 says:

find a starter yet?

bluesmokeproductions says:

My big Dodge uses intake air heating rather than glow plugs. Looks like a
great find.

alex993cc1 says:

hmm for longevity sake maybe its a good idea i thought about it, but i
found a new glass one 🙂

biggdaddy2001 says:

You know u should make it a habbit of throwing the compression lever even
when using the starter it save the starter from wearing out faster

zx8401ztv says:

Vibration from the motor caused the fuse to fracture at one end?? or just a
crappy fuse 🙂 A wild goose chase, but you got to fondle the bits inside
he he 🙂

HDXFH says:

Not a real Hyundai, all that stuff, Pumps, Gensets & Compressors are
actually made in PRC, NOT Korea by Hyundai!
