Thanks for the tip… But what do I do for the other side that has the battery? Do I take it out? If so do I remove the hot first?

Jaime Aranda says:

Thanks man! It was so easy and took less then 5 minutes.

Xiomara Restivo says:

nice

yoseph777 says:

Ok, your video has given me confidence.I can try it on my own. Dont’have to call my cousin.

Lauren Barragan says:

Thx! I’m a girl that wants to learn how to do the little jobs on my own. This video has totally helped me.

Angelica Nevarez says:

Saved my life , thank you ! (:

Zeeshan Kadri says:

Awesome video to learn, well I bought a 2001 Hyundai Accent. Do I have to use same way to change the bulb?

Illswyn says:

I’ve replaced several of these on my girlfriend’s Hyundai. The frustration from removing that clip, especially on the passenger side is difficult to even describe. Having the reservoir so close…who’s idea was that? Now that I see how the clip is SUPPOSED to be connected, it may not be so frustrating. And with the light not wobbling, I may not be replacing bulbs every 6 months. Still, this is the most frustrating kind of headlight I’ve ever dealt with. I’m glad I have sealed beams on my car.

thenick516 says:

Also, if you’re doing both sides, do driver first because after you pull the battery you will have complete view of everything which will help with the other side that doesn’t have the best view (remember to write down radio presets if you pull the battery)

thenick516 says:

thx video was a help!! ADVICE TO ANYONE RE: DRIVER SIDE BULB: it is a VERY tight squeeze and just taking the plastic cover infront of the battery most likely will not be enough. UNLESS YOU HAVE INCREDIBLY SMALL HANDS AND HAVE THE EXPERIENCE TO DO IT WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO SEE ANYTHING, REMOVE THE BATTERY!! Seriously, the 2 mins you spend taking out the battery will save you an hour of frustration and a lot of cuts on your hand.

vikingbred says:

I am guy and agree with this chain overwhelming. I needed to replace the headlight on my daughter’s 2008 Tuscon and figured that the process would be very similar, if not identical. And it was! Very easy, took maybe 5-10 minutes, and cost me only $8 for bulb, a standard Sylvannia bulb that’s available from any car parts store.

tomasiq says:

Heh, the same applies to me. Today I was trying changing it myself for like 1 hour – with no result and sore fingers. After I saw the video, it took me 5 minutes.

dreamlawssu says:

This video was super helpful. You just saved me 12 bucks in labor.

levisque67 says:

Thanks for posting this. I own a 2005 Hyundai Tucson and following your video allowed me to change out the bulbs in a few minutes. It was essentially the same procedure.

I probably should have read this before messing around for an hour trying to get the light bulb out. This video took 20 seconds. Thanks

This saved me money and time. Hubby was out of town and I refuse to pay someone. You rock! Took me less than 3 min to fix!

Jesse Guthrie says:

Thanks man helped me alot

Chelsea M says:

Wow thanks! I am a single chick, and I know nothing about cars, so thought I was going to have to either pay to have it done, or find someone who knew how to do it that I would then owe a favor to. But thanks to your video, I did it ALL BY MYSELF!

HondaHowTo1 says:

No problem

Rob Perrotta says:

Thanks for your help, this was easy with your guide! I just did this on my passenger side bulb, meanwhile my drivers side bulb went out so I have to do the same there. Hope I don’t have to remove the whole battery as another user suggested.

HondaHowTo1 says:

lol thanks, I’m glad I could help.

Chris Boyd says:

Wow,…hat clip would have been a booger without seeing you work it first. Thanks again,…you now have a fixbook for life fan!

HondaHowTo1 says:

lol, yes to some maybe. Thanks for your tip 🙂

leftcoastshot says:

Worked great. That clip was puzzling. It hooks from the bottom so you are pushing it toward the front of the car then down toward the ground to unhook it. For the drivers side the whole thing is a breeze without the confined space issue from the right side when you remove the battery; to do this without removing the battery is ridiculous – just pull the battery, so totally worth it.

HondaHowTo1 says:

Thank you, and I’m glad to hear i helped you save money. Thanks again.

neclg2004 says:

I subbed! Thanks! Saved me some time.

HondaHowTo1 says:

Cool, your welcome, and I’m glad I could help.

NonSequitur05 says:

This worked on the Sante Fe as well, and I looked at our Scion Xb which also looks the same. Thank you!

HondaHowTo1 says:

No problem, thanks for your comment.

unleashyour360 says:

Hey buddy, Thanks for the video, I had watched another video when I had to replace the drivers side bulb and I had to take apart the assembly that held down the entire headlight, take the headlight itself out then change the bulb. After watching yours, I realized how much work I did without any reason. I just replaced the passenger side bulb in less than 3 mins. Thanks a lot man!

HondaHowTo1 says:

Thanks for your comment. And idk about karma, but Jesus is very real, and God has blessed me greatly already (with health, a beautiful wife, and home ownership).

jmoobl says:

Hey, thanks for the how-to. It helped make the job easy. Really appreciate the effort you made to make the steps as visible as possible in such a narrow space, especially working the clip that holds the bulb in place. It’s not hard to actually work the clip, but it would’ve been a puzzle to figure out because of the inability to look at what you’re doing. Having it demonstrated made it a snap to figure, so thanks. If karma is a real thing, some of the good stuff should be coming your way.
