Recently my wife’s 2012 Hyundai Elantra (paying the last payment on the car loan just 2 days ago) has been consuming oil before its regular oil change interval. I decided to replace the PCV valve because it’s over 100,000 miles (around 112,000 to be exact) and because it could be stuck open which is allowing oil to be burned in the engine. I did not have any signs of oil leaks coming out of the car so either way, this could be a cheap way of fixing the problem. You’ll see in the video that the old one was very dirty, clogged, and not working like it should. This video should help anyone trying to replace a PCV valve (especially those with a Hyundai Elantra, Accent, Sonata). The new PCV valve was cheap and easy to install.
