This is a very stupid design!! I never had this issue with my former car, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata!! Many times I had to lift them up to get leaves out from underneath where they rested. Also, had to lift them up to clear ice & snow away. The 2024 Elantra is a pain to do that with, since having to get the wipers to move along the windshield before being able to do what needs to be done. What engineer designed this?!?

@kovbohdan says:

unfortunately it does not work on my TM

there is no way to pull lever up it has fixed positions there

Was wondering about this. Its been snowing, and freezing all month, and the hood blocks the arms. I've just been lifting them slightly, and putting bags over them. This works much better.

@blancboard says:

can i do it when the wiper blade is off the arm? Will it scratch the window?

@janiehopkins2655 says:

Thank you, but I think it was a stupid design why do I want to get in and out of the car just to lift up the wiper blades
