How to install LED headlights into Hyundai Projector Housings with H11B bulbs

Hyundai uses H11B bulbs on some models, making no direct replacement for LED bulbs, this shows you how to install an H11 LED while keeping everything stock on the vehicle side in the case you want to convert back to H11Bs, this is on 2009 Santa Fe, but I assume it would work on any model with stock projector headlamps… please don’t install LEDs or HIDs into non projector housing and be that dick who is blinding everyone.

Wouldnt it be easier to have the H11 adapter hard wired in so that you can use the actual harness? In the future youd just have to buy h11 bulbs instead of h11B.

Hi, not sure if you still respond to late comments like mime, but I was wondering how much brighter did it actually get after you installed the LED vs the Halogen.

dborg56 says:

If you do not want to hack the LED connector just in case you want to return it. You can get an H11B adapter and tape the blades as shown. Great video.

I've read that led headlight replacements have a different (less than optimal) beam pattern than original incandescents. Anything to say about that with this installation?
Same car, just burned an original one out.

Dennis Hu says:

wat about the 2018 Santa Fe? wat bulbs does it use and is the process the same?

alejandro gonzalez says:

But what u did with dust cover on the low beam for h11b did u put it back o leave just like that open

Isaac Wolf says:

I've just bought that same car same year and model. Love this video! I would add for anyone reading to look for an h11 extension cable if you don't want to hack some plastic!

Karim Abdullah says:

How well is the light pattern do you have any videos of that. Also this led bulb went into a projector housing correct?

drnstvns says:

Bless you my friend! Thought I wasn’t going to be able to use the H11s I bought! Awesome job thank you!

landis cooley says:

Just saved my life I almost bought pigtails to rewire my positive and negative so i could have a plug but now I don’t have to alter the cars headlights at all and I can leave it stock! 200 IQ you’re the man

Next week's video,,…WHY MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE

Sleepy Koala says:

You might be using the wrong base type on your 2009 Santa Fe. The early editions of the 2009 Model use H7 on your Low Beams and H7 on your high beams. The later editions used H11 on the low beam in 2009. You may have one of the early editions on your hand and that's why the prongs didn't fit

Jesse Richens says:

Hey I’m doing this right now on my Elantra and it works. But have you put an led light in the high beam H7?

Dioses de Papel says:

Hey man just wanted to say thanks to you for making this video. I did this on my 2012 Kia Soul and it worked perfectly. Slightly different mount point but same principle. Thanks again! Keep on keeping on.
