How to change front brakes 2015-2019 Hyundai Sonata | front brake replacement

In this video I show how to replace the front brake pads on your car. The car I use to demonstrate is a 2016 Hyundai Sonata but this will work for any car. I also give a few tips on metal on metal contact points that should be lubricated.

DO NOT!!!!!! Use a petroleum based "grease" on your slide/glide pins!!!! It will compromise and eat-away at the nitrile rubber "boot pin covers." Use ONLY a "silicon" based product!!!!!

TheHate FuLL1 says:

And then of course you have the retainer Springs or clips some vehicles have these some don't

TheHate FuLL1 says:

The metal pieces that sit on top and the bottom of the caliber that the brake pads write-in are usually called brake caliper clips

TheHate FuLL1 says:

Some people refer to them as slide pins but whatever I have to order them they're always called guide pins or brake caliper guide pins

TheHate FuLL1 says:

Sometimes the guide pins gets stuck and you can't get them out if that's the case you would have to buy a new caliper bracket with a guide pin kit

TheHate FuLL1 says:

If you grease the slides brake dust is going to stick to the grease and it won't be smooth enough for the pads to move in them

TheHate FuLL1 says:

These slides are actually a type of metal with coating that resists brake dust so you don't want to grease those

TheHate FuLL1 says:

There's a little confusion between what to grease the part that he's greasing is actually called a guide pin these slides would be the little metal brackets that go in the caliber bracket that the back brake pads rest in you don't want to grease the slides you want to grease the guide pins
