i am not sure it is my pump that is wrong my 2001 suburban 1500 5.3 has
over 240000 miles on it. my pressure starts out low then jumps up to normal
then after a bit drops back down and will not go up then you can hear the
lifters . So i put in I think it was VIcks any how it is to increase the
viscosity of the oil and add pressure it worked for about a week now I am
having the same problem what do you suggest or is your opinion should i
change the Oil pump or is it something more drastic ?. also i have checked
for leaks and haven’t found any also the oil looks good with no shavings or
water in it .
