Thanks for this, I recently purchased one of these and only found minor rust while looking it over in places where the paint was nicked and not spot fixed, that is until I got on a ladder to work on some of the lights that are on the roof rack. The two seems that run the length of the roof looks to have surface rust, with some minor bubbling, any thoughts on the best way to tackle that if I did it myself? I was looking into getting a Kevlar paint coating done, and was quoted 10k (includes complete disassembly to have a factory repaint essentially, and rust repair of the roof) seems like a fair price for that?

Did you fabricate the structural box sections too? Or did you just fab up the exterior sheets? I’m going to need to do this eventually and not looking forward to it. Would like to do most of the heavy lifting myself, such as disassembly, cutting, prepping for paint, but I can’t weld so need an assist there. Would love to see additional photos of the various stages of the project.
