How To Install A 1.25" Body Lift On A Hummer H3

How To Install A 1.25" Body Lift On A Hummer H3

Hey what’s going on guys! In this video I will you how to install a Body Lift On A Hummer H3. In this video we cover:

1.) What a body lift is
2.) Differences a body lift and suspension lift
3.) Identifying a single body mount point
4.) Installing the body lift on the I5 H3 & Alpha
5.) Before and After Photos
6.) Running Larger Tires

Please read! I do want to clarify one small thing that was in the original directions that I did not mention in the video. In the video when I said to only loosen and unbolt one side of the body mount bolts at a time which is true; however, the original directions say to slightly loosen the other side that you are not lifting up with the jack. That does not mean remove them, that means slightly loosen them. However, doing this does make it possible for body to become slightly misaligned which could lead to issues putting the bolts back in which I did not mention it. However by not loosening them, you could hypothetically be putting unnecessary stress on body. When I installed the body lift on the H3 video featured in the video and my own H3 I did not loosen the other side and nothing was negativity affected. Just wanted to be transparent about this. It is your call if you want to slightly loosen the other side. Let me know if you guys have any questions about this!

Brian Presto says:

Lol I just went out and looked at the body mounts on my 08 Alpha and it already has a body lift done! Can clearly see the added black hockey puck looking spacers between the body and bushing. Wow so I guess I don’t need to worry about the 35” tires rubbing at all? What size are the 37” tires you’re running. I have aftermarket 18” rims. Thanks previous owner haha!
