Jerry it's 33.3% more than of model Y

sum42guy2k says:

You mentioned chademo but failed to mention CCS, or combined charging standard. In North America we use CCS1 while Europe (and most of the rest of the world) use CCS2. CCS USES j1772 in its design but is heavily modified in both physical shape (adding 2 high amp ports below the J1772 port) as well as charging communication. J1772 uses the pilot signal from the charger and what the duty cycle is dictates the available amperage, while the voltage is modified by the car to tell the charger what is happening (12v is unplugged, 9v is plugged in but not ready to charge, 6v is plugged in and ready to charge).
CCS uses digital communication including the Vin, how many amps it can take, SOC etc.

Actually 33% more than Model Y. 25/75 =33%

denvera1g1 says:

Napkin math time
If level 1 charging (assuming 1500w/hr) can charge about 2 miles of range per hour, and my limo can fit about 900w/hr of solar(average over a day), so lets call it 1.25 miles of charging per hour. If i drive ~11 miles to work, and park for 9 hours in the sun, thats up to 51% of my daily commute (22 miles) being completely solar powered. Not accounting for the fact that i'd have to idle my engine the entire way for power steering and braking taking a bit of load off the batteries(it can idle all day at 25MPH getting updawrds of 35mpg) extending the "range" a bit. But that would be offset by the solar needing to actively cool the solar cells and batteries throughout the day, and heat the batteries in the winter, where there is less sun

Rodney Archer says:

That wall charger might not be installed to code. I do believe Romex can't just go through the wall like that. You'd have to mount a box in the wall for the wire to go through.

Uzair 1812 says:

Hey Jerry,I wanted to ask. When you build this humve. Can you legally drive it on the road?

joe t says:

Holy shit this guy is boring to listen to.

MillenniumTech says:

Actually NOT 25% more than the Tesla. The Tesla is 25% less than the Hummer, and the Hummer has 33.3% more than the Tesla as 25% of the Hummer battery is a third of the Tesla battery. I'm a huge fan of yours but I'm kinda scared about you making such a BASIC math mistake right before messing a around with cursed amounts of Li-ion batteries.

Nick Fosheim says:

what happened to your model x
