i might just be stupid but those windows looked like they were bolted shut isnt that inconvinent if you want mre protection and have (in addition to the gunner) the guys shitting in the back and in the passenger seat shooting too?

3593893 says:

Not bad. But what I don’t like is how they have an addon kit for bottom protection. I call Bull SHIT. That should be a standard part of the vehicle. Shouldn’t have to pay extra to save a soldiers life. This is part of the destruction of this country. Build and offer a quality product up front, period.

3593893 says:

He must have gotten sucker punched

john doe says:

i just bought one yesterday and it is a real lemon! Got stuck first day out while jeeps and 4runners passing me like it was nothing

SuperQuantumMechanic says:

Really? “an IED magnet”? Details please explain to me how this will be an “IED magnet”. The minute this hits the battlefield will all the IED’s buried in the ground suddenly dig themselves up and throw themselves in its path? Please enlighten us all with the knowledge you have gained from your obviously advanced engineering degree’s and expertise in military logistics.

Connor Danhof says:

Sounds like a powerstoke

sucker punched says:

Yes about you make a vehicle that has a V shape hull!!! Its not that fucking hard ffs this pos is fucking IED magnet, a retarded heavy,HUGE fucking useless ied magnet, why are we giving u tards our tax money?…..

opmike343 says:

You’re basing this on what exactly, appearance? If the military can field a safer, more capable vehicle, why should they stick with the old HUMVEE? I don’t understand you people, at all.

FapLordable says:

Shut up putin

Jabol Chapel says:

I would gladly drive the BRAV-O AM GENERAL for the Army and give my feed back on it.

oneandy2 says:

Better armor? The Humvee was supposed to be a replacement for the M151 Jeep.

So basically they’re replacing a Jeep with an Armored Car. Whatever…

Does this mean we can finally get some surplused out Humvees? Yeah, probably not. D:

Erik Piantoni says:

I love humvee!!!!

ThePepper1981 says:

what diesel is in the vehicle? the V8 CAT proto-type?

BallCrusher177 says:

GO HUMVEE I LOVE THE HUMVEE!!!!!!!!

Djsand1000 says:

What are you talking about??!! I didn’t give any facts for anything,

MCdenzelk111 says:

Dude hes trying to help you so be respectful….. most of the facts your expressing are wrong so shut up….

Vladmir Putin says:

Its the BRO truck!

SgtxMac says:

Looks mean nothing when your life is on the line.

Ong Xiao Cong says:

Look so badass

IPGAuto says:

Because of the added protection, later technology, the newer BRV-O is a win, because its the safety of the troops, not what it looks like. I’m sure it’ll do everything the older Humvee would but better.

Djsand1000 says:

Shut up and stop wasting both of our time’s, dude. It was a joke and if you can’t see that the instant you read something like that then you should reconsider how seriously you take your life.

Wintermute1119 says:

I realize there is a lot going on in NASCAR. My point being, watching NASCAR on Fox means fuck all when you’re talking about a diesel powered, Class 3 military vehicle. That is like me saying I know a lot about gasoline direct injection because I went to the King of the Hammers. It was 50/50 as to if you were just using a tired, old joke or were simply ignorant. You then stated I didn’t know what I was talking about, that you did, and it was because you watch NASCAR.

Djsand1000 says:

Did you not understand what I just said? 3/4 GPM WAS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!! Stop trying to impress me, it’s not working. And NASCAR is a little more complicated than people give it credit for so don’t go dissing something you don’t understand.

Wintermute1119 says:

Maybe if they dumped that god awful 6.5L turbo diesel in the HMMWV for a Duramax or other modern diesel engine. The 6BTA would probably be the best fit for a military vehicle, but it isn’t high tech enough for the US military.

Wintermute1119 says:

…and that is estimating in the 5% less energy per volume you get from JP-8 versus #2 diesel fuel. I’m assuming they’ll run JP-8 in them since they run everything else on it. How well that will work in a modern, common rail diesel engine remains to be seen. Of course, you already knew all of that stuff from watching NASCAR.

Wintermute1119 says:

That doesn’t mean you actually know anything. Mileage will be down to how much armor the final vehicle has on it. If it doesn’t have a huge amount of armor on it, it’ll do pretty well. An 8000lb Super Duty will get 12-13mpg fuel economy with a 6.7L turbo diesel with EGR and DPF hanging off of it. I don’t believe military vehicles yet have to be saddled with such economy sapping equipment, so 15mpg is a very reasonable estimate.

PoppinDingy says:

Id rather have something look uglier that can save more lives…

Djsand1000 says:

When someone asks how many MPG’s a vehicle like this gets it’s some times funny to make a joke out of it and say it “Gallons to the mile” instead of “Miles to the gallon.” My guess is because it has a diesel engine it will do a little better that 15MPG. Don’t make claims you can’t back up, Cars and racing take up 70% of my life so don’t assume you know more than me.

Wintermute1119 says:

He’s utterly wrong. The Marauder isn’t the same class of vehicle as the HMMWV or any of its possible successors.

Wintermute1119 says:

No, it didn’t. The Marauder is a medium-class vehicle, the JLTV contract is for a light vehicle. Imagine that, the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program is for a light vehicle, fucking amazing. Also, MRAP is a generic term. It simply means Mine Resistant Ambush Protected. It isn’t a brand.

Wintermute1119 says:

You don’t know a whole lot about cars do you? This thing is diesel powered and considering it is a military vehicle, I don’t believe it has to comply with fuel efficiency sapping Federal emissions. I’d guess it’ll get around 15mpg depending on the engine used.

humvee forever
