I really don't get how Scotty works on cars that are within warranty. In theory, Honda's for example have 3 to 5 year warranties. Who would bring him (who doesn't know how to use a torque wrench) a car under warranty by the manufacturer?
The weird thing is that I have a 2018 Type R and changing gears from 1st to 2nd it’s really rough and the same from 3rd to 4th, I’ve heard a lot of people have that issue with their Type R
Would you recommend the Ford Taurus sho or no. Looking to buy a new car soon and this car is one that I like but need your help/ opinion

Hahaha … but not in Malaysia.. the civic X is full of troubles
1. Air cond compressor for first batch of 1.5tc. Air is intermittent cold and not. Confirmed compressor problem and go to SC for replacement. Haven't heard of this issue in subsequent batches.
2. NVH is terrible. The noise from wind and tyre is very bad.
3. Rattling sounds from dashboard. SC just can't seem to fix permanently.
4. VSA modulator. There's a nonstop clicking sound which will need replacement of the said item by SC
5. Grinding sound during start. There has been letter by Honda saying they will replace the valve tht is causing the issue. But I've yet to notice anyone from Malaysia going to get it fixed. The letter was purportedly by Honda US and Thailand.
6. Finishing and quality issues. There are some here and there for different members here. Some are small dents on car. Some are paint. Some are internal finishing. A lot for bumper gaps.
7. There's also an issue with USB (the arm rest one) not working.
8. LED light for phone compartment (the space below the Radio Display) not working.
*note: 1.8 variant does not have this light
9. CVT may feel sluggish especially at low speed pickup. Well it's the known issue with CVT, Just have to live with it.
This can be improved by installing drop in air filter, such as K&N.
10. Exterior build feels soft. The metal panels actually felt flimsy, and can be depressed easily by just hand.
11. Steering rack. When turning, u can feel there’s feedback/resistance, instead of smooth turning.
12. Wiper water pump spoilt. Will need to claim warranty for this.
13. Body rusting after 2 1/2 years
14. Poor body welding
15. Some car shaking at 140kmh

The Type R has gearbox issues plus the paint job is awful on those cars, so light its covered in scratches & many more issues that you wouldn't expect from a Japanese brand. The engineering was so bad it felt like it was more of a Chinese build then a Japanese build. I walked away from Honda since then and I'm so much happier now then when I owned the Type R – R.I.P Honda you don't build cars how you use to just like majority of the cars manufacturers today.
I feel like it's a bit of a misconception how good Honda manual transmissions are. Sure they have a great shift action when new, but in terms of durability they aren't the best. I have an 07 civic type-r and it has 2nd and 3rd gear synchro issues. A look on the forums may surprise you how common synchro issues are on civic SI's, type-r's and even s2000s are.
My mother had a '98 Saturn with a manual transmission, and the transmission eventually blew out on it. Have to watch out for those old ones.
s2000 is the second best only to the NSX!

Hey, Scotty and gang, I could get a fully loaded 2016 Nissan Sentra SL Luxury line with only 4900 miles on it for just 15.000$. Special:, it has a Renault diesel 1.5 dCi. It is so cheap because the diesel ban in German cities and a pentioneer panicked and bought a Volvo petrol. Should I buy it…. I am not living in a big city so the diesel ban is not my concern.
