Hi. Here’s the part number from the video description for the Aux Jack I used in the video: “Honda Part Number: 39114-SCV-A01ZA”

I bought this directly from my local Honda Dealer.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Hey! I need to replace the AUX jack, but I cannot find the name of that specific piece anywhere. Honda has told me three different part names and none of them look correct. (Photo of the actual socket for power… def. not correct.) Do you know the name of the AUX piece or where I could get one??

Kevin Foster says:

Thank you for the info!!!

Jarod Palmer says:

Ah yes.. This is how my problems started as well.

I think the system is programmed to only allow the AUX channel to be enabled when it has a solid connection with an inserted 3.5mm jack to prevent loud pops and noises from going through the speakers. (Like a noise gate).

For the longest time i used random things to prop up the 3.5mm cable so it could make a connection but when I drove through pot holes my contraption would fall apart so I finally just bought a new jack haha.

Kevin Foster says:

I am guessing my jack is bad as well. I tried to switch to AUX on my radio and it won’t even go to it. Did this happen on yours?

MermaidRampage says:

So how did you go about removing it the first time? You mention in the video that it took a lot of force to get it out. I haven’t been able to get mine to budge and I can’t seem to get a good grip. Did you use tools or any kind or just your hands?

MermaidRampage says:

Have you found that the jacks are loose after removing them? I’ve read that some people who have tried this method found that pulling them out the front altered the shape of the plastic and they don’t fit as snugly afterwards. I’m about to replace mine and I’m debating between this method and the more invasive one that calls for going in through the side panel (apparently this method is how the dealership would do it)

Jarod Palmer says:

I got this part from my local Honda Dealer.

They had it in stock and it was around $20 if I remember correctly.

BeautifulxBreakdown says:

Where did you purchase the part?

Jarod Palmer says:

You bet! Glad I could help out. 🙂

Mine just died a few weeks ago. Just got a call that the part is in today and I’m going to fix it right in the dang parking lot! 🙂 Thanks for this great vid!

Jarod Palmer says:

Hey, no problem! I feel your pain. I went 2 years without a working AUX jack because I couldn’t find anything online about fixing them. Glad I could help!

simplehealthcomplex says:

Thank you soo much for sharing! I haven’t been able to use my audio connection for over a year!

Jarod Palmer says:

Agreed. And you bet! Thanks for the feedback!

Jeffrey Wheeler says:

Funny how these things start to fail, across the country, all about the same time. Thanks for the very informative video. Preliminary investigations suggested that I needed to go in through the back via glovebox… but your video shows that is NOT needed at all. Very nice !!

Jarod Palmer says:

The Part Number should be: 39114-SCV-A01ZA
