How to replace your timing belt, water pump and tensioner (Honda civic)

Hello! Today we are going to show you how to replace the timing belt. water pump and tensioner on a Honda civic D series engine. We are also going to replace the cam gear for an adjustable one but that’s just a little bonus. The method is pretty much the same for any honda engine, although you might need to pay some extra attention to the DOHC engines. Here is a link to the torque specs of the engine: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-tech.com-vbulletin/1000×1065/80-0900c152800617dd_9f99b6b07471bcd587cd7729f2aa7e0298e251dc.gif

3 things you need to know about early Hondas… gap the lifters ! or you'll burn valves.second, NEVER turn the motor backwards, you'll skip the timing belt on the crank shaftthird , only rotate the motor on the balancer nut with plugs out when gapping
