Do you need to use Anti-seize on the spark plug threads?

Hernan Hernandez says:

So do I need all the tools listed?

Manuel Serrato says:

Videos like this one help a lot of people like my self. Thanks a lot.

skhangura says:

Thanks for the video.

A couple of things would make it even better. On the lead-in screen, listing size of the plug socket needed (16 mm or 5/8 inch). Also when you remove the spark plug connector lock (1:33 or so in video) your hand/arm obstructs the camera, so we can't see how you are removing the connector lock. Some may find it useful to know how to remove the lock, especially if they are jammed/sticky.

Do you recommend cleaning area around park plug cover so dust/dirt doesn't enter?

Squali says:

My friend said they charged him 200 dollars to do this.

Jerry I says:

i am about to change my plugs on my 08 accord. Do I need to put dielectric grease on the plugs? My local autopart store told me this is suggested. Also can I just hand tighten like you did when installing the plugs and make snug with socket wrench? or do I have to use a torque wrench?

Jon Paulson says:

Worked like a champ, thank you!

Native 99 says:

Thanks it was a breeze!

Mahdi Zaman says:

How important is the plastic cover? I broke the bolts badly when I tried to open the cover, the broken parts are inside. Is it a safety risk if I ditch the cover altogether?

JesterX Fan says:

How long of an extension do you need?

Romeo ochoa says:

Which one is cylinder 4? I have a misfire

Axeltiguere1976 says:

Loved the video, short and detailed…Thank you much

J R says:

No Dielectric grease on boot of coil pack and on plug wire that connects in at top ? I was always thought to use some to keep any water getting in or corrosion if water did get in. Then your in trouble on misfires left and right. I hope someone answers me on this, also, I always put a small dab of NEVER SEIZE to on plug threads, just keeps them from freezing in head now, had cars that they broke off from none in there, one 1981 Buick Regal 3.8L V6 engine and had 2 break off in the back on passenger side, had no choice to take top part of engine completely apart to take head off just to get those TWO BROKEN PLUGS OUT. Not fun not cheap and was a favor for a friends parents, I told them what HAPPENED and will take 2 more days because I had to work at my JOB, thought it was just and easy TUNE-UP, not, only had them pay for gaskets only, they asked me how much if I was at the GARAGE, I said you DON'T want to know. Just be happy you have extra cars and this could sit those 2 days, it might be 1 night but that's at night time rushing, prefer not working under lights only, daylight helped and got that entire mess back together in 12 hours of work taking my time. Also used one 10 pack count of POLAROID FILM to take pictures so I could put all back together, lots of vacuum hoses back then on those cars, not fun but all worked. AC on that side and the box stuck out far from firewall. Never had issues ever with just a dab of NEVER SEIZE OF THREADS ON ANYTHING YOU NEED. SPARK PLUGS, YES BUT A LITTLE GOES FAR. Anything that you will take apart again and its hard to, then use it, you won't need oils or blasters, stuff good for 1500 degrees, last forever. Makes things coming apart nicely when you work on your VEHICLE again. Unless it calls for LOCKTITE, now there's 3 colors I believe, I used only blue because that's all there was, now they have more, not to come apart at all, pretty much breaks the bolt unless you use heat, plus they have a red or yellow that can come apart but makes it harder. Been awhile since I've looked into it. I don't use it often, only when it calls for it only. I remember the blue the most and like blood red color also. Beware on using lots of it, stuff is like super glue but harder I bet.
