Two Thumbs Up.

Guy Spiher says:

For anyone who is really new at this may be a little bit of mention of the PB Blaster or kroil that you used to loosen everything up.

Bob Miller says:

Something is wrong here. The cotter pin has to go through the slots in the castle nut. That's what the slots are for and that keeps the nut from loosening. The way this is installed, the nut can loosen. It looks like you have the wrong castle nut. Notice that the cotter pin was passing through the slots properly on the ball joint that you removed. I'm amazed that you didn't stop right there and figure out what the problem is. I mean, this is basic and anyone who works on cars knows that the slots are there for the cotter pin to pass through. In fact, I would suggest anyone who hasn't done this job to watch just about any other video about replacing control arms and you will see how it's supposed to be. The bad thing is that scanning over the comments which seem to be by people who don't work on cars, they won't know that something is wrong here because not only didn't you correct the problem, but you never even pointed it out. Also, with all due respect, after seeing this video, I wouldn't want you do work on my cars. I would never leave a castle nut improperly installed like that. And this could actually cause a dangerous condition.

ahoorakia says:

thank uou for clearing the snap ring on original Honda part, not all ball joint need snap ring

Savino Rojas says:

WARNING. My ball joint would not seperate. Hit it with the pickle fork, then a ball joint seperator. Decided to saw it off, but in order to replace the ball joint you need to knock out the axle shaft from the hub which for me was impossible. In the video the lady hits it with a hammer and it pops right out. In real life that's not how it worked. Anywho, just be wary that this stuff is not as easy as it seems. Sucks. My El has become a piece of junk for the time being.

Kally954569 says:

Would the ball joint press work to remove the ball joint as well?

Do you need an alignment after this?

Matt Foley says:

How do you know when ball joint is bad?

THE HOTWHEEL MOM says:

Mike Smith says:

So glad I watched your video. That air chisel made it so easy. Thank you.

Ricky P. says:

Excellent as always. For us DIY's without air compressor, this seems like it may be impossible to do. Not to mention the specialty tools required for this.
