Do you not have to program it with a computer after you install it? Honda is telling me my ecu is a 1000 dollors and im looking on line and i see them for 200 bucks. would it work if i put a after market one on it. They are always saying, only put honda parts in them or it mite not work, or are they just lying to get more money.

LOL once you take the negative cable off you can touch the positive anything you want to and nothing will happen
Except this is a 2006 civic, the 2005 is under glove box pain in the arce to get out

I ran a diagnostic code on my 2009 Honda Civic ex coupe. Mine would run then it would cut the fuel off when I got up to speed then had to restart it reset it would do the same thing about 3 miles down the road. Changed out the ECM fixed the problem part number 37820-RNA-A75
Can you do a 1999 Honda Civic ex manual transmission please
Thanks for posting I had a engine code pull up P0606 engine control module/Powertrain control module. Pull up on my 2009 Honda Civic ex coupe. Drive down the road then it acted like it was running out of fuel. Then you would have to stop turn key off reset it. Then drive a few more miles to do the same thing. Dealer said I had to buy a new control module 37820-RNA-A75
