Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers.

I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.

Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like chainsaws, weed eaters, weed wackers, string trimmers, grass trimmers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, brush cutters, leaf blowers, or four stroke, four cycle units like lawn mowers, lawn tractors, snowblowers, pressure washers, generators, ride on mowers that need parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.

My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.

I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING NEVER STORE YOUR EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE!

Please make more Honda snowblower videos!

David Kirkpatrick says:

I bought two for $309 (US in the US) that includes shipping, no sales tax. I think there was one other site with one for $180 US. All the rest were a little over $200. Good advice on storage but unfortunately my garage is loaded with no room for lawn or snow OPE. I put a cover on mine then a cement mixers tub on top that protects the cover and keeps it on during wind storms. I have a 2 x 10 inch plank to keep it on. BUT it does not over the Honda tracks. I'll have to work out something for that. Note; the cement mixing tubs are available at Lowes and HD for about $7. Great video as usual Donny. You've helped me out many times over the years. Thank you.

I will appreciate if you could let me know how to replace and adjust the track of a Craftman II 8/26 Trac Plus. Thanks very much.

How sad, such a nice and expensive piece of power equipment it's a shame to keep it outside. I baby my Honda snowblower and keep her warm in the garage.

Donyboy73 any suggestions on cleaning the wheels that the tracks go on? Would carb cleaner work or damage the rubber?

AppleZtoOranges says:

Fuel from fuel tank ruined my gas cap on my Honda snowblower. Had to purchase a new one. Was a vapor lock situation from tipping it on front like this. Ever hear of this?

Green Man Leather says:

Great video thank you! Where are you based?

Video History of Catalysis says:

Thank you for the great video. I ran across it since my MTD 8/26 snowblower (late 90's vintage) had one of the tracks fall off during the last snow storm. Your video gave me the courage and idea on how to fix it. Yes, the non powered wheel had to come off and there was a J-bolt that I had to loosen to give me the ability to move the wheels a bit closer. then I put the track on the removed wheel and tried to get it to go back on the crossbar that now I could raise a bit so it was closer to the other one. With a little tugging that worked and I reattached the bolt holding the wheel and tightened the j bolt to get a reasonable amount of torque. Thanks for giving me the motivation to try this myself.

JnC445 says:

One correction here, the track made for the HS624 is similar to the one used for HS724 BUT the bigger HS828/928/1132/1332 use longer tracks, the diameter of the aforementioned tracks is 20" where as the diameter for the bigger machines is 21". For HS624/724 Part # 42755-738-E02 and for the bigger units its 42755-V41-305. Also, from the video, when you pressed in the middle of the track it seemed like it was on too tight, that could also contribute to the tear along with the UV damage. Per the service manual the when the track is pressed in the middle of the two sprockets it should dip 27~33mm (1.1~1.3").

How can I email you a question? I have a early 1970’s model 1200a pioneer chain saw with a 16 to 1 fuel / oil ratio. Do I need to stay with this or can I change this? Thanks

Grampie's Workshop says:

How's she goin'? Nice way to change the track!!! Cost of parts is crazy in Canada for sure. I have never gotten a good reason why this is the case as it's not just the difference in the dollar!!! Take care!!

Bruce's Shop says:

Thanks Don. Winter is coming back next week out west.
