reds and blues are illegal as you can see in my profile pic I have green
now

Rodane Hamilton says:

I dont think that’s allowed in the UK anyway everything police stop you for
lol

WorldwideSalvage ~ Community Gaming! says:

jaceNZ75 says:

cops are dicks..the law here in NZ only requires that the light source is
NOT visible meaning you can only see the light and NOT where it comes
from..The Source..OH..and they can’t flash or change colour.. I’ve got
EVERRY legal light possible on my RYD and I challenge cops, and IF they
pull me over, they learn the law and I drive away..its was the reason I put
them on, tells us we cant when it causes no harm to other confident
drivers..

Brandon Thomas says:

Lol you sound like Ryan the temp from the office

stay GOLDen says:

RICE!

Gilbert Hernandez says:

Can you make a video to how to Sauer the wires to the led

SalLovesChoad says:

So what brand of epoxy did you exactly use? A link if possible would be
great

Tj Mckeithan says:

Its not illegal while ur driving dumbass, only if they are red or blue and
strobing blinking or flashing, go with a light blue or green or purple or
even orange or white and you’ll be perfectly legal , I personally talked to
a sheriff

shogunharvey says:

How do you splice into the dome light? I too have a civic. Which wire is
it on the fuse box? Thanks for posting.

Huttoballer2012 says:

i got pulled over by a state trooper with the light’s on and he didnt say
anything he just got me for speeding, and left me with a warning, the whole
time he didnt even mention my light’s,
now here in austin, they pulled me over strictly for having my lights on,
and gave me a warning for that also, and he said any light thats not amber,
white, or yellow, is illegal in the state of texas,
but didnt give me a ticket
please explain this

BrandonGFX says:

I have blues on mine its legal on driver and passenger side but not front
and back.

nestorrice says:

so what happen to the led if you driving with other people in your car and
one of them need to turn the dome light ON and there is a COP next to you?

Forrest Flynn says:

Im putting red underglow on my Eclipse 3g which i had removed the stock fog
lamps from, so im wiring the strips directly into my old fog connectors,
that way they will opperate off of the OEM fog light switch. i noticed a
warning on the bag though that says not to exceed 5 feet if used in a DC
circuit, so i was wondering if you knew what the risk was in running it
along the perimeter of my under body

jatbelbj2 says:

how long do you think these lights will last? I’m curious cause I drive
them around at night. I have cool white.

Alex Mason says:

what kinda car is this and year?

Josh Weight says:

So these lights would turn on if you were to manually turn on the dome
light (even while driving) correct? Do you know if there is a wire that you
can tap into that will only power the lights when you unlock the car or
open the doors?

Gilbert Hernandez says:

What kind of wire did you use

Michael Small says:

Def 10times gay when stock height….normally stock height people do it
too. ha

DareToBeDeviant says:

Why they’re illegal to have on while driving in the first place is
illogical, regardless of color. I installed my set a couple years ago and
keep them on usually in the winter when snow is plenty, especially during
white-outs as a safety precaution for other drivers. Alternating pattern
strobes on the dash or something I understand is impersonation of an
emergency unit but when lights are aimed down at the ground…?
Also from what I hear in some countries it’s perfectly fine to run these
anytime anywhere. Gawsh the US has a problem with every little detail.
Great detailed video. No reason for people calling this ‘rice’. :)

khartoem says:

Nice light show, I found these on internet there are nice :

Zooko h says:

you are so fucking annoying.

YO Tech says:

Sorry if am asking a stupid question, but how many pairs of 3 should i use
under the car to not overload the circuit? or how many led lights should i
use?

Casey Hall says:

I noticed you live in Illinois as I do, how do you deal with it getting
dirty under your car from the weather and just driving?

Samyy Shaw says:

So it’s illegal while your driving? :(

Jerson Garcia says:

The only colors that are illegal to use in the usa it white, red, blue and
for some reason green too

octiv09 says:

why did you removed your LED’s? if you don’t mind me asking!

Shadow says:

Is it illegal to drive with them on in Chicago?

SSHaloGaming says:

Lol why not just add a switch for your Lights?! That’s what I did! Although
I bought PLASMAGLOW…

ProjectEnthusia says:

i ran my wire through the speaker wire hole on the inside of the car.

elguato2001 says:

Nice idea. I did the same thing with my 06 tundra, but your install is
totally noob.

bobreyaubrey says:

nice video. quick question, what keeps the lights off when you use your
dome lights? or when you use the dome lights the street lights come on
also??

Jack Flynn says:

Alec what type of epoxy did you use and did you run a small amount along
the light strip or glob it every 6 inches?

John Colberg says:

bro .. where do i tap into.. ive got the same car

Eric Epperson says:

why not run the wire through the firewall?

00011theman says:

If anyone is wondering the laws in Oklahoma: “no person shall drive or move
any vehicle or equipment upon any highway with any lamp or device thereon
displaying or capable of displaying a red or blue light visible from
directly in front of the center thereof.”

nhrunner96 says:

Very innovative, cool, and creatively done. Thank you for the originality
and awesome video!!!!!! Rock on man

Gallardo983 says:

I have 06 civic sedan. Where do I tap the wire into the fuse or anywhere?
Can you help me with detail please?

Alec Watson says:

No. The light switch on the dome light simply grounds it to the ceiling.
This is why the positive is constant–so that the dome light switch can
bypass the dimming module and come on by itself. In short, the added lights
have no connection to the dome light.

David Chan says:

is this 5050 300bulb led??

Alec Watson says:

Well, I had posted in the description (or “about” section as it is called
now) how to use a fuse tap and add a set of lights that stays on all of the
time. As for how to install a switch to turn them on and off, that is
entirely up to you as to how you want to go about it. It would be so
different from person to person that I didn’t want to even attempt to
explain it.

Aj Goulding says:

Have it fell off yet from the salt and sand?

Ben Holmes says:

Is there a way to convert this to upperglow? I’d really like to illuminate
the world above my car. Also, can you do a tutorial on attaching truck
balls to vehicles?

Alec Watson says:

You know what? I’m done with this conversation. Go away, troll.

Alec Watson says:

I had two sets of footwell lights and the underglow like I installed in
this video running without any problems. However, I was noticing that I
could hear the dimming module with all the current going through it. I
would place the limit for your car at a total of 16 feet of LEDs–this
would be 2 amps assuming you use the most common strip. However, proceed at
your own risk. I would add more lights gradually any make sure everything
is still OK as you go along.

Erick Alanis says:
