do it like this and you will ruin your motor

Stenton Guild Art Studios and Woodshop says:

I'd like to see a close shot of the pulley on the crank before the bolt is installed. When I put my pulley back on it appeared to not slide fully onto the crank and that concerned me. In other words, the end of the crank was not flush with the pulley. If that is normal, great. I have nothing to worry about except that I'd like to see the key be a little longer.

Shawn Lewis says:

is this the same for a 2002 Honda civic DX

amazing video well done. That was so informative thank you so much.

michigan loader says:

that good video. I have a doubt. When I put the tensioner in the block with its respective spring the bolt I only adjust it with the hand. (fingers) and then after two turns of crankshaft (this so that it does the four times) if the marks are well in the camshaft. Is there where I tighten the tensioner screw and remove the grenade lock? I am right? Thank you…

Big Dog50001 Automotive says:

If you are going to do this job, make sure to turn the engine over COUNTER clockwise. And it’s probably a good idea to disconnect negative battery cable so you don’t short anything out when removing alternator (be sure to have your factory radio code).

Gene Matuzek says:

i thought adjusting the tension you are supposed to turn the motor counter clock wise not clock wise.

the eabster says:

your kit also comes with the replacement seals for the valve cover bolts this video does not show you how to replace them and the gasket rings that go in your ignition coils

the eabster says:

I had bought my water pump kit from 1A Auto. My Honda Civic is in 05 1.7 d series motor. the paperwork that came in the box States it is very important that the engine is to be rotated counterclockwise two full turns. In this video it looks like you're rotating it clockwise. My second question is when I got my Gates water pump kit from you guys the PIN was not in the timing belt tensioner. Do I just line them hoes back up and put the pin in it? Or does the tensioner have to be wound up somehow before the pin needs to go in it? I contacted your guyses office and as nice as the gentleman was he had no idea how to answer my questions. He sent me a link to this video. Thank you in advance for any help

Dominick Tranquilli says:

Where can I purchase or borrow the special holding tool from Honda? And is there any other alternative besides that special tool? At the 9:40 mark
