Great video. The bolts are really tough to come out. Any suggestions for loosening bolts. Maybe WD-40?

Great hammer technique.

You should buy the blades designed for the specific mower. If your mower model number begins with HRR, buy the blade made for HRR machines. I think you installed a blade intended for the HRX model. I could be wrong but don’t think so. I know because I bought a used Honda mower which had the wrong blade on it. When I installed the correct blade it cut and operated much better with less clumping of grass against the inside mower deck. For the Hondas I believe there are three different blades available, each one specific to HRR, HRX etc models.

I can't get my bolts to move . I tried replacing my blades today with a socket wrench and they won't move.

@Seonaidh966 says:

Nice video but i somehow doubt Honda uses a 9/16 bolt for the blades . If you cleaned up the bolt I would say it’s a 14mm.

I always take the dpark plug wire off before even lifting a lawnmower.
Call me paranoid but ive done that since before i went to small engines school.

Hello thanks for showing how to replace lawnmower blades it is easy I have one question I have two Honda lawnmower’s that run beautifully but one needs a new deck frame because of rust and holes but the mower is still runs like a champ How do I get a new lawnmower push deck frame? Do I go to Honda or the junk yard???

@labla8940 says:

12 point gives you better interface . Best way to measure center line points is burry an inch line the 1 " line to the far left of the left hole then measure to the far left of the right hole and thats an accurate way to measure and then subtract the 1" burrying the inch gives a better visual as those hook ends move for hooking a board or measuring wall to wall has to account for its width. Thaks hammer is great help

Thank you…great help.

Thanks for video!!! Before I watched it, I sharpened my blades and had them flipped the wrong way. It was hitting shroud inside. Made mower shake when starting and shutting down. Pay attention to how blades are orientated when replacing!!!!

@troynsa says:

Pull off the spark plug wire for safety before working on the blades.

@Norasbestyoutubechannel781 says:

Mine are completely seized cannot loosen these bolts for nothing

@tannermartin7263 says:

20 volt max impact bit adapter and a 9/16 socket and keep brake on. If your brake is shit then you could do that to lol
