I just replace my timing chain & water got into my cylinders. I remove the spark plugs and got it out. Now milky stuff shoots out of dipstick. What should I do?

Whenn you pull the grenade pin does it pull on the crankshaft pulley and cause it to lose timing or just put tension on the belt, and the crankshaft stays in timing?

34:02 : real camshaft 1/4 turned when i squized belt to check the tension. I wasn't sure until Eric's solution.
I have 2014 honda odyssey. Now, I have use 17mm to counter clock it back with safe sound.

I just did this on our 2006 TL. thank you so much for the step by step. The waterpump was leaking. I even had the back cam slip our of time like yours and got it spot one again. fired right up and no more leak. Now I have to do the power steering rack. thats doesnt look terrible but not fun.

Dissapointed that you did not change the cam and crank seals. You even had them in hand. If they were not leaking then,they would soon start to as the rubber in those seals would be hard and denatured after so many miles.

For 3 days (yes my car has been on jacks for 3 days now) I've been fighting with the timing belt being so tight and can't slide it onto the tensioner so I can finish the damn job. Never thought of doing what Eric did by PUTTING THE BELT IN FIRST then installing the tensioner after the belt is on. I pray that this will work on a hyundai tomorrow morning so I can finally go home.

Another hack I always do when replacing timing belt. Before you remove old belt until it's under tension take a pen or permanent marker and make marks on belt and all 3 sprockets (2 cam and 1 crank) and make them so that you know which mark is for which sprocket. Different color or I do two marks on each but with different distance between them. let say 1 tooth between marks on crack, two teeth on back can and 3 teeth on front cam. Then remove belt. Take new one and transfer marks on new belt. you need to count teeth a lot on both belts and this is only way to transfer marks correctly. Then having mark on new belt put it on and match all marks on sprockets. And you know what? you don't really need to set 1 cyl dead timing. no issues with cam under tension tendency to shift. I just rotate crack with old belt still on into a position then I fill less tension coming from cams. not on V6 though but on L4 there is a position when all valve are closed. But, do this only if you 100% sure that old belt timing was correct. Otherwise use regular method Eric shows in this video. thus still makes sense to set factory timing marks to check if it's correct. So, using this method I 100% sure that new belt has exactly same number of teeth between sprockets as old one.

Need to mention that J series has coolant drain plug on back somewhere behind Oil filter. Conveniently it has fitting for a hose that you can drain every drop out of block. so, no spills on crank position sensor. I used that drain when replaced coolant completely.
