hello, can you help me? the shell i bought includes a blank key blade, that is already installed onto the front face of the shell and won't move even if there's no screw. Any advice how i can disengage the small plastic bit holding the key from the the shell?

Would this work for a 2009 honda civic? I've seen videos where the sensor needed to start the car is within the key case… is that the case for a 2009 honda civic or would this do the trick..? I don't want to completely rip mine apart right now and be sh** outta luck!

Thanks for the video, I did this and it works. I did have to take the transponder chip out of the old remote and put it inside the new remote for the key to work though in my 2007 honda accord. But works great and didnt have to pay the 150.00which was the price quoted to me by the locksmith. It just took me some time and $7.95 that it cost me to purchase the key/fob combo online on ebay.
