Cameron Bushwhacker says:

I don’t agree with you on running the carb dry I had problems when I would start the snowblower it would run rough even with fresh gas?

Michael Marsh says:

Sorry that you had to work on your splitter, but i do enjoy this content. Tips and tricks of maintenance and making things perform at their full potential is always enjoyable for me.

Al Gorel says:

Rust in metal tank during storage. I give a quick spray of fogging oil. Any ideas out there
to keep rust away during storage?

rpm773 says:

As I found out last week, the best way to get my old lawnmower started is to buy a new one. The old one then started right up. Sigh.

Casey C says:

Great stuff as always. You left off the snap on information

Lodge Family Homestead says:

rubber gloves??

Chersey .357 says:

What were the shoes Mrs w got you the wide blue ones I think I can’t find the video thanks.

Aaron Morris says:

FYI – most modern spark plug companies recommend AGAINST using any type of anti seize. It can act as a slight lubricant, and can alter torque values when tightening. Or at least might allow you to tighten more than you would be able to without it. This can damage threads and actually cause more harm than good. Modern spark plugs don't really have an issue with seizing as long as you don't over tighten.

Vintage _650 says:

I don’t know what it is about working on small engines, but it’s just fun!

Preproto says:

Just saw the gas, prob clogging the carb a bit making it hard to start.

Preproto says:

Was that fuel dilution in the oil? Did it smell like gas? Still didn't seem to want to start.

B.Hawkins says:

Are there any additives you recommend for those of us not fortunate enough to have non ethanol readily available??

Thomas Grant says:

I have a not that old Honda Lawn Mower that has been run hard put up wet that I am getting ready to do all this to so thanks for the Vid. I can't wait for the Thunder Ranch videos.

Mark Attardo says:

Well done sir! If you have the bowl off and you're worried about a partially clogged jet / emulsion tube, squirt carb cleaner up from below with the straw.
ALWAYS start screwing in the spark plug by hand, the valve covers usually throw your spark plug socket alignment off.
For larger (running) engines that are hard to pull start. Pull them over slowly a couple of times, stop when you feel the compression building. Let the rope rewind then give a nice fast yank.

Sargon Face Saaad says:

Its pretty nasty to hear companies asking people to give them positive reviews. Let your products speak for themselves by making good products and you wont have to tell people what do say. Of course they hire a lot of people today who sit on the internet and talk positively about products. I was actually paid once to talk well about a product but i already owned the product and loved it so it was a no brainer. 😀

Edward Bratton says:

Ethanol is being used as an octane booster in place of previous compounds which were carcinogenic. All the rest of your criticisms of ethanol hold true.

Sargon Face Saaad says:

This is really good. So many younger people today dont have a dad around to teach them these things. When i was a kid it was normal that dads or grandfathers taught kids how to do a lot of useful things.

ScottyAllenDay says:

Premium fuel does not contain ethanol for future reference.

King Of diamonds says:

cody im ashamed you did this to a machine unsubscribed 🙂

tim moore says:

Whats that rachet extension with a screw driver handle on it?

Daniel Alamo says:

You mentioned the more power puller. I bought one after seeing your video. I had seen them before used for about $35. Well, after I broke my come a long (for the second time ), I couldn't find a used one so I paid a lot of money for a new one. It's been worth it. Everything is heavy. Also, I watched this video because I need to go get my 3 inch pump ready and it has a Honda engine. I have to admit, I'm not a Honda fan. But it was all that I could afford after my 3 inch pump, with a Briggs, got stolen. I guess lunch break is over. Off to my second job. Hopefully, this Honda will start.

Mike McAuliffe says:

Can I borrow your log splitter?

Alex Hickey says:

What i normally do with an engine that wont start is take the airfilter off and spray wd40 in the intake then pull it over. If it starts up and then cuts out you know its a carb issue. If it runs fine its probably the airfilter. That dont fix it? I attack the spark plug. She dirty? I clean it. She still no fart? I check for spark. If nothing else works then i go a bit more in depth and go after more serious things like compression and bad ignition coils. Ive also had flywheel magnets lose magnetism. Once or twice saw headgaskets blow. The very odd time ive seen valves not seating and piston rings worn out. A scored or cracked cylinder will do the same. Both of my lawnmowers are 33 and 29 years old respectively and still original bar consumables. Most of the time in the 29 year old one its a fouled plug cos its got over 1000 hours on it and burns oil. 2 stroke engines are a bit different. Air leaks will kill any 2 stroke of any brand

Brian Rice says:

Never seen a Honda not start on first pull
