How to replace your Honda Civic Headlight 9006 bulb (low beam bulb) for years 2012-2015 known as the 9th generation Civic. Should take about 10 minutes and cost around $15 to replace both bulbs yourself.

Now when you use these amazon links you support this channel! It doesn’t cost you anything extra, but a small portion of your purchases goes to me when using these links and helps me to continue making more videos!

This was performed on a 2014 Honda Civic but yours will be very similar.

Tools:
Flat Head Screw Driver
Gloves (optional)

Parts:
Replacement 9006 Bulbs (Two)

Notes:
1. Do not touch glass of bulb with bare hands, oils from your hands will limit the life of the bulb. Using gloves helps.
2. Replace both bulbs at the same time, even if just one bulb is burned out. The other bulb is likely to burn out soon, and its good to keep both bulbs at the same life expectancy.

So the funnel is a twist-off. Thanks for the tip!

It was easier for me, with huge hands, to go through the space where the cover was removed in front of the battery. That's The whole purpose of removing it.

Excellent close-up camera work. I couldn't figure out what part of the connector to press.

Thank you for the assistance. As a Master MB Tech it's not difficult but, My Medical resident daughter was able to view and accomplish this…without dad's help. Not bad for a neurosurgeon in training…
THX again!

If you have an EU Honda Civic with the same year/s, then you will need a really tiny hands. It took me almost 3 hours just because there is a very tiny space to work on (i did not remove the battery) and the clips are hard to lock and straighten up the newly fitted bulbs(it is not a twist n remove just like in the video) . What I learned with the clips are to push them towards the front facing headlight and pull them up to lock/unlock. Tips are you need to allow a lot of time and latex gloves and also patience. You can also remove the battery to make it easier. Goodluck!
