Good video. Thanks. I didn't completely detach the door. It just needed to be removed just enough to get to the the wire clip holding the mirror. Then I follow the steps in reverse when putting it all back together.

Quick, simple video. Thank you!

Have you ever disassembled the actual mirror itself on a 2017 Sport SE Sedan? If so any videos or links to how to do this? Someone smacked their door against my driver's side mirror and dented in just the plastic housing. The skull cap and glass are fine so I wanted to just replace the plastic mirror housing (honda part no: 76255-T2F-A01) since it is only $30 bucks vs. $270 for the entire mirror. Thanks!

My 2016 driver side mirror connector piece is broken. The internal solid plastic piece broke from a run in with a drive-thru post. It looks the the connector is a part that snap inserts into the arm projecting out from the body at one end and into the mirror housing at the other end. Is it possible to replace the connector piece only and not have to replace the entire unit? The arm and the mirror housing are not damaged. Much thanks.

Just did this. The hardest part was that strange clip holding the mirror wire to the to the door frame. It just wouldn't pop out. Once I noticed my new mirror had its own clip, I knew I could afford to force it out even if it got damaged in the process. The whole project took less than 30 min ans it did not require me to completely detached to door panel.

Hey thanks for the video looks pretty simple now. Do you have anything for a 2018 accord? Or should it be the same?

Thanks so much for the simple tutorial! This really saved me so much money!!

Hi, I have a couple of questions.
1. Once that yellow clip comes out, can you reuse it? My new mirror didn’t come with one.
2. I think something that shouldn’t have must have come loose when I was trying to remove the door handle, because now the driver’s side lock is stuck in a position halfway between locked and unlocked (and as a result, the car won’t beep when I lock it to let me know the alarm is set). Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for posting this! Mirror got shattered and knocked off its housing by a passing car, and the shop wants to charge me upwards of $300 to replace it. Found a new mirror for $60 and am planning to do it myself. This will help tremendously!

Is it possible to fix a loose passenger mirror in 2013 accord instead of replacing it? It was hit by the camera still works it just loose from the base. The mirror looks just like this one

I need to replace the passenger mirror, including the cover. Any recommendation on the best place to order one (ready to paint)? I have a 2014 Accord. Thanks!

Kevin Truong says:

is the removal any different for a right side mirror with the turn signal camera?

Ricardo Gonzalez says:

Would it be possible to install 2016 touring side mirrors (with camera) into a sport model?

Rich Lo says:

do you really have to remove the door or is it because you have it off. generally you remove the speaker panel then unscrew 3 nuts and detach electrical and unclip the electrical housing. it should then come off
