Hey, on my 03 Coupe, the door locks and unlocks manually, but the Remote
Fob doesn’t lock or unlock the car. The remote opens the trunk, and lights
up when any button is pressed. Also when I press the Lock/Unlock, the Head
and Tail lights light up as if it worked, but it doesn’t.
Anyone know about this issue or what the problem is??
I appreciate your effort, but I got dizzy trying to watch as the camera was
waving wildly around, plus, the real thing people need to see is HOW you
put things back together. I understand that’s very difficult to do one
handed while holding the camera, but I feel the most important things
people needed to see where cut out of the video while you stopped recording
so you could use two hands.
Thanks a lot for posting this video.
i just finished replacing mine.
works like a champ!
took me a little over an hour.
Such a helpful video saved me $200+ in labor. Ordered the part mentioned in
the description and I installed it in about an hour and a half. Works
flawlessly. Thanks a bunch
3 hours later mission success. Putting everything back together was a
bigger pain in the ass than taking it apart. Impact driver was key.
Getting the door latch mechanisms connected again to the door handle was a
giant pain in the ass! next project installing auxiliary in factory stereo
Thanks for the video. I just finished replacing the actuator in my car. If
it wasn’t for your video I would have been lost, gave up, and had to pay
someone to replace this part. Thanks a bunch for saving me some $$$
Ive got a rear door to do hope its a little easier thanks
Nice and strong! I have to do mine soon. Thanks for taking the time to show
us. It sucks to have to manually lock your door with two arms loaded down
with groceries.
Thanks bro! I was able to fix min too! Not for the faint of heart lol.
Thank you so much for making this video. I finally finished the replacement
for an Acura TSX. The 3 door latch screws were very tight. I accidentally
stripped two of them and had to use a Grabit screw extractor to get them
out.
Thank you so much this video helped me fix my actuator in my 04 accord
coupe on the driver side as well! took me all of 20-30 minutes
Thanks dude, you just saved me $200 bucks and a valuable experience.
SUCCESS!!!
Camrra moving so much
so i just installed the actuator and now it will unlock and lock but im
hearing a sort of grinding noise when i lock it. only lasts for a second
but its noticeable if your near the car. what did i do wrong?
thank you!!!!!!!
Thanks to your video, I was able to replace it on my 07 in about 30 minutes
tonight. Thank you thank you! 😀
Does that actuator affect or contol all locks on the vehicle? All my doors
will unlock but not lock via button or remote. It seems unlikely that all
actuators would go out at the exact same time.
Thanks for doing this video. I just changed out my lock actuator using this
video as reference.
FYI…Theres a special campaign for this module, cetrtain 2003 accords.

Thanks for the vid. Looks like it’s exactly the info I was looking for to
fix the lock issue on my Mom’s 2005 Accord LX. Excellent!
Just want to give a thanks for this video. I used it today to replace the
driver’s side actuator in my 03 Accord. The video was excellent. I wish it
could have shown the actual re-assembly of the actuator holder, but I
managed to figure it out. In any event, great video! Saved me the cost of
having it done at a shop.
really good video….. thank you love how u explain all process
What specifically could not be removed? the linkage from the handle and the
lock cylinder?
I had to insert a flathead screw driver between the linkage and the door
handle assembly and rotate it to separate them (after rotating the plastic
clips out of the way)
hello I am in the process of putting the gold harness back onto the
accuator thingy and I am having an issue with securing the linkage cable. I
hope I hear back from you soon.
Welcome
Dies this work for the 2004 4door accord?…. How much are actuators?
Not sure what you mean but are you talking about the connector at the
actuator? Or the linkage to the handle or door lock?
Good video. I used this today on both doors. Now, I cannot open the doors
from the inside or out. The locks work via the power. I have tried opening
from the outside, inside, manually locking and unlocking but the doors
still won’t open. Any suggestions?
I have had some diagnostics done and it appears it is most likely the
“multiplex connector unit.” This appears to be fairly expensive and maybe a
little difficult because of so many connections. Any videos for this?
No it doesnt, have you tried individual lock switch to see if same result?
Have you tried unlocking/lock from pass? or is issue just from the master
(driver switch). If you have power to all actuators up & down, then would
have to say you have actuator failures.
Sounds like a linkage issue, be sure all are connected properly at the lock
& the cable housing is secure on the door panel.
I have a 4 door. Got all the way to removing the linkage and could not get
them out. Any suggestions?
