place its close to two o’clock what is going on with this

Ash Qelon says:

Question on the main cam belt idler bearing,, there is a slotted bracket on
it, does the 6X10mm bolt hold the bracket tight or it the bolt on it
shouldered and allows play with the spring holding it?
Thx

Dave I have the same car and it runs great but has a high pitched whining
noise when I accelerate and when the rpm’s are between 1200 and 2500. Its
coming from the timing belt side. I’ve replaced the alternator and the ac
belt and power steering belt. Also a new timing belt

guitardave123 says:

I used the crank pulley tool with two breaker bars – I have a separate
video on this process.

Thank you. I just successfully completed a timing belt and water pump
change in my ’93 Del Sol. Your video helped. A lot. Well done! Wish I could
buy you a beer.–Phil

sounds like an rb26 to me

Christer Johansson says:

A question: does this engine survives if the belt breaks? Some of the old
16 valve engines just stops when the belt wears out and finally breaks but
how is it with this model? I have a 1989 with 300.000kilometres on the
meter and finally you get to the point when you just drive until the car
stops. Is it hard to replace the belt?

Armando Romé Music says:

i have to do this to my accord aswell, is leaking water from the water
pump, so i have to go and change it, im gonna do it this sunday, following
your video, thanks for this great video info..

henloy says:

great video i have to work on my 92 this weekend..mine has some rusted
bolts hopefully none break

Silanethione says:

cannot say thank you enough. i need to change my alternator…would you say
its a pretty easy job?

Beau Gaskell says:

this looks a bit more complex than doing a tbelt on a d15 civic motor. how
long did it take you (hrs)? good info, thanks

devdude01 says:

Hey man I’m working on a civic but when I took the crank pulley off there
is a little spacer almost what it looks like and I was wondering if Iir it
on backwards if it would leak oil real bad

bratman99 says:

could you send me the link to that one please? That, along with the timing
belt video is gonna get me out of a real jam. Thanks for taking the time to
post these videos

Rich Koldenhoven says:

When adjusting the tension on re-install – how do you keep the crank shaft
bolt from becoming loose if you rotate counter clockwise?

guitardave123 says:

@Smokeythe420Bear I don’t, but check out any of the online Honda parts
sites – they’ll have all the info.

zeeconstructions says:

hi good job. hi ve the same car with the same engin.but mine is a lot
fucked up. i just wanted to know if i could ask u few things about the
engin/ regards zee

Michael Hoy says:

what is the Part Number for the Rear Balancer Seal?

Ash Qelon says:

The same belt on the counter-balance pulley you show and put bolt into,
there is shaft on left side too. I was told there is a slot type mark on
that pulley shaft, that the mark should face up also, when putting belt
back on. Can you speak to this alignment some what may be correct to do?
Also, I presume your cam pulley with the “UP” label was straight up,
correct? Thx

guitardave123 says:

Didn’t notice any shaking, but you could always adjust the tension again.

guitardave123 says:

I believe this engine is interference, meaning the pistons can hit the
valves if the timing belt breaks.

guitardave123 says:

@great2c4me it took me most of the day, but I changed all of the front
seals, lower rocker arm seals, and did a valve adjustment as well.

Theworldisyourz09 says:

i have a 93, im trying to get my crankshaft pulley bolt off, im replacing
the water pump. How did you get that crank shaft bolt from turning while
you break the bolt? i dont have air either. On the video i cant see how he
jammed the crank shaft pulley from turning while breaking the bolt. Thanks

James Taylor says:

Fuck, how did I break my water pump

Mike Malone says:

Alex Leonard says:

billyboprock says:
