1990 Honda Civic CRX Alternator remove and replace and cleaning of the EACV. Part 3 of 5

This is a friends 1990 Honda CRX DX that has had the alternator replaced once or twice before. It is not a very hard job but you do have to have the correct tools. This video series will tell the tale of two alternators, this new one that we installed that was bad and then we installed another alternator but the owner, Rudy did the job. We also cover how to clean the EACV, Electronic Air Control Valve and the torque for the bolts. The bolt torque for the EACV is 12 N-m.

Disclaimer:

I am not a certified ASE mechanic nor do I play one on TV but I have slept at a Holiday Inn once or twice in my life time. I do research on the internet and buy and read the service manuals when possible. I highly recommend anyone working on their own vehicle to do the same. If you do not have the tools or cannot perform the job safely please hire a mechanic/tech. Always use jack stands to support the vehicle if you are getting under the vehicle.
