Is there a video on how to remove the e brake cable under a 05 GMC 2500hd 2wd truck

labeleven says:

Thanks a lot, it took me 10 min on a 2009 Escalade!

Kevin eckley says:

It would have been much easier to use a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze those tabs or even cut off the cable from the opposite side and push it through. Thanks for the video though.

Kenn Acasio says:

Hi! So I drive a Chrysler town and country 2008 model. I pushed the e break way to far down and heard a pop. Now the pedal is loose and I can't engage the e break. I'm not sure what happened. Any help would be great.

San Marcos Area Recovery Team says:

You guys do great jobs with the videos. I followed the ebrake video and the instructions were great but the ebrake still was really stiff like I thought it would be. Now 2 year later it goes to the floor. I checked the shoes and they have lots of pad and the cable is tight when the peddle is on the floor, though the truck still will move a little. I am at a loss….

Naif AlOtaibi says:

Thanks for the video… Just did it on GMC yokun 2008.. Almost 7 years after posting this video.. THANKS Agian .. Keep going

David Ray says:

I need to know how to remove the parking brake pedal mechanism for 99 Silverado 1500.

The front cable that goes up in behind the pedal mechanism from the floorboard is broke.

Thanks , David

michellle mcmahan says:

My cable broke this morning 3/2/2017 as I was getting ready to go to work. All I could think about was how much it was going to cost me to get it replaced. When I came home and looked up a YT video, I came across this video. I have a 2005 Suburban. Other than being close quarters, I think I should be able to do this on my own and save myself some $$$$$!! Thank you for your video. I really appreciate the time you took to make it.

tyler jenkins says:

could a bad cable be why my parking brake isn't staying locked

Charles Shell says:

Wish you had one for the S10. My S10 parking brake cable snapped when it was engaged and up on ramps. I couldn't get it to disengage and it was kind of an emergency so I cut the front brake cable. So now I have to replace the handle, the cable AND the front brake cable.
